摘要: A bolt catch device is disclosed. The bolt catch includes a movable surface configured to be positioned within a weapon so as to conditionally engage a bolt so as to prevent the bolt from rechambering a next round from a magazine, a tip configured to, in response to a received force, cause the movable surface to move so as to release the bolt, and a spring engagement feature configured to be positioned within the weapon so as to receive a spring within the weapon, wherein the spring within the weapon is configured to bias the movable surface toward a position which prevents the bolt from rechambering a next round.

摘要: A reciprocating bolt assembly has delayed blowback and a firing pin block. Features prevent out-of-battery firing, when the bolt assembly is not fully engaged to the firing chamber or barrel face, a movable member within a bolt body functions as a blocking member that blocks the firing pin and prevents the firing pin from striking a cartridge. In embodiments, the firing pin has two stop portions that the movable member can engage depending on the cycle status of the firearm. A reverse cam mechanism associated with the firing pin blocking provides a resistance to and delays blowback.

摘要: A semi-automatic or automatic rifle comprising a barrel attached to and upper receiver and including a compressible bolt carrier extension system. The compressible bolt carrier extension system includes a bolt carrier, an extension spring, two pins, and a reciprocation bolt carrier extension piece. As a whole, the compressible bolt carrier extension system makes possible the use of elongated upper and lower receivers to be used for chambering long-action or other center fire cartridges for use with AR rifles such as the M-16, and M4 etc., eliminating the need for any buffer or buffer tubes other than those commercially available. A further advantage of the compressible bolt carrier extension system is the reduction of felt recoil as the system fully loads during the recoil stroke as it pushes against the buffer absorbing additional recoil energy. The system can be incorporated into firearms using a variety of cartridges.

The bolt carrier assembly has a bolt carrier body configured in length to reciprocate substantially entirely within the upper receiver and has a top lug extending into the recoil spring guide channel. A recoil spring is in the recoil spring guide channel.

摘要: A slide for an automatic pistol includes a cavity, a housing in the cavity, a laser module at least partially received in the housing, a power source, circuitry, and a striker. The slide has a first mode in which it emits laser light and a second mode in which it does not emit laser light. The striker has a first position in which it does not cause the laser module to emit laser light. When the pistol's trigger is pulled, the pistol's firing pin contacts the striker and moves the striker backwards from the first position to a biased position. When the firing pin moves out of contact with the striker, the striker moves forward to a second position and causes the circuitry to transmit power from the power source to the laser module, which causes the laser module to emit laser light.

摘要: A bolt carrier for a firearm that includes a rolling element so as to provide improved alignment and reduced friction of the bolt carrier with the upper assembly and buffer tube as the bolt carrier executes a reciprocating motion. The bolt carrier includes a body that is generally cylindrical in shape having a first end and a second end. The body of the bolt carrier includes a first slot and a second slot. The first slot includes an upper opening and a lower opening. The second slot is proximate the second end of the body of the bolt carrier. The second slot includes an upper opening and a lower opening providing access to the interior volume of the second slot. A wheel is rotatably mounted within the second slot. The upper edge and lower edge of the wheel extends beyond the top side and bottom side of the body respectively.

In some embodiments, a bolt catch engagement feature, magazine release mechanism, or both, are also (e.g., similarly) ambidextrous. In many embodiments, a user action on one side of the firearm is substantially similar to, but in the opposite direction from, a user action on the other side that performs the same function. In various embodiments, a left button, pad, or feature is directly opposite and in line with a right button, pad, or feature. Bolt catches can use two levers and magazine release mechanisms can use two parallel elongated members perpendicular to the barrel and a catch actuator.
