摘要: An actuating mechanism includes a main body, an electromagnetic device fixed to the main body, and a swinging rod swingably connected to the main body. A position of connection between the swinging rod and the main body is opposite to an iron core of the electromagnetic device, and an upper end of the swinging rod is opposite to and spaced apart from the electromagnetic device. A permanent magnet is disposed on the upper end of the swinging rod, and a magnetic pole direction of the permanent magnet and a magnetic pole direction of the electromagnetic device cross each other. Since the permanent magnet on the swinging rod is opposite to and spaced apart from the electromagnetic device, the swinging rod is not in contact with the electromagnetic device during working process. This avoids knocking of the swinging rod on other components, and therefore prevents noise, reduces wear.

摘要: A flood sensor includes a notification unit that notifies of detection of flooding, and a primary battery. The primary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator that is disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and to which an electrolyte adheres. When the separator is flooded, the electrolyte is dissolved in water to form an electrolyte solution, and the primary battery starts generating power to supply power necessary for driving the notification unit.

摘要: A method for detecting a phase separation of a waterborne or solvent-borne or solvent-free coating composition includes providing the coating composition in a receptacle; providing a measurement instrument for receiving the receptacle, the measurement instrument including a measurement probe; controlling the measurement instrument to a) displace the measurement probe through the coating composition along a predefined measurement path with a predefined speed profile, the predefined measurement path extending along a length axis of the receptacle, b) acquire a force-displacement profile by measuring a force exercised on the measurement probe while the probe is being displaced along the predefined measurement path with the predefined speed profile; processing the force-displacement profile for detecting at least one phase separation of the coating composition; and outputting a detection result.

摘要: A system includes a fuel level sensing probe inside a fuel tank and an exciter wire bundle to connect the fuel level sensing probe to a power source outside the tank. The exciter wire bundle includes an excitation wire and a grounded guard wire. The excitation wire and the grounded guard wire each include a resistive non-metallic wire. The system also includes a return signal wire bundle to connect the fuel level sensing probe to a device configured to measure a quantity of fuel within the tank. The return signal wire bundle includes a return signal wire and a grounded guard wire. The grounded guard wire of the return signal wire bundle and the grounded guard wire of the exciter wire bundle are configured to shield the return signal wire from electromagnetic interference. The return signal wire and the grounded guard wire each include a resistive non-metallic wire.

摘要: A concrete mixing truck includes a chassis, a front axle and a rear axle coupled to the chassis, a lift axle coupled to the chassis and including a tractive element, a lift actuator coupled to the lift axle, a mixing drum rotatably coupled to the chassis, a fill level sensor coupled to the mixing drum and configured to provide a signal indicative of a fill level of a material within the mixing drum, and a controller. The lift axle is selectively repositionable between a lowered position in which the tractive element engages a support surface and a raised position. The controller is operatively coupled to the lift actuator and the fill level sensor and configured to control the lift actuator to reposition the lift axle into the lowered position in response to the fill level exceeding a threshold fill level.

摘要: A vibrating fork liquid level switch includes a vibrating fork assembly arranged to vibrate at a first frequency when in contact with a process fluid and at a second frequency when in contact with air. A drive circuit connected to the vibrating fork assembly is configured to drive the vibrating fork assembly into oscillation. Sense circuitry senses an oscillation frequency of the vibrating fork assembly. Output circuitry provides a first output when the sensed oscillation is at the first frequency and a second output when the sensed oscillation is at the second frequency. Control circuitry controls power applied to the vibrating fork assembly by the drive circuit between a first and a second power level. Verification circuitry verifies the oscillation frequency of the vibrating fork assembly when power applied to the vibrating fork assembly by the drive circuitry is changed.

摘要: Methods of improving accuracy of droplet metering using at least one on-actuator reservoir as the fluid input. In some embodiments, the on-actuator reservoir that is used for metering droplets includes a loading port, a liquid storage zone, a droplet metering zone, and a droplet dispensing zone. The on-actuator reservoirs are designed to prevent liquid flow-back into the loading port and to prevent liquid from flooding into the droplet operations gap in the dispensing zone.
