摘要: A test station assembly for monitoring a cathodic protection system of a buried or submerged structure includes a housing including an inner chamber a connector, and an opening. In addition, the test station assembly includes a pole to connect to the connector such that an electrical conductor extending through the pole and connected to a coupon assembly is configured enter into the inner chamber. Further, the test station assembly includes a face plate to attach to the housing to at least partially cover the opening and an electrically conductive test post to connect to the face plate. Still further, the test station assembly includes a cap to cover the test post outside of the inner chamber. The cap includes an internal passage to receive the test post therein, and an opening into the internal passage to receive a probe of a voltmeter therethrough to contact the test post.

摘要: A corrosion detection system includes a wire disposed in a groove extending circumferentially around an exterior surface of a pipe, the pipe comprising a pipe wall and a pipe liner that lines an inside surface of the pipe wall. The corrosion detection system also includes a sensor electrically coupled to the wire. The sensor is configured to generate a voltage in the wire, and detect a change in a property of the wire caused by exposure of the wire to a corrosive fluid that is present within the pipe but outside the pipe liner.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided for controlling a fuel delivery system to limit acidic corrosion. An exemplary control system includes a controller, at least one monitor, an output, and a remediation system. The monitor of the control system may collect and analyze data indicative of a corrosive environment in the fuel delivery system. The output of the control system may automatically warn an operator of the fueling station of the corrosive environment so that the operator can take preventative or corrective action. The remediation system of the control system may take at least one corrective action to remediate the corrosive environment in the fuel delivery system. One or more sensors may be employed to signal proper operation of the remediation system.

An aspect includes applying an electrical bias to a detector structure of a corrosive substance detector, wherein a layer of a hydrophilic gel is located over an electrode of the detector structure. Another aspect includes monitoring a resistance of the detector structure. Another aspect includes, based on determining that the resistance of the detector structure has dropped below a minimum resistance, indicating exposure to a corrosive substance by the corrosive substance detector.

摘要: Systems, methods and apparatuses for inspecting a tank containing a flammable fluid are provided. The system includes a vehicle having a propeller, a latch mechanism, a pressure switch, and an inspection device. The system includes a control unit in communication with the propeller, the latch mechanism, and the inspection device, and electrically connected to the pressure switch. The control unit powers on responsive to the pressure switch detecting an ambient pressure greater than a minimum threshold. The control unit receives, from the latch mechanism, an indication of a state of the latch mechanism. The control unit determines that the cable used to lower the vehicle into the tank containing the flammable fluid is detached from the vehicle. The control unit commands the propeller to move the vehicle through the flammable fluid. The control unit determines a quality metric of a portion of the tank.
