Abstract: An aspheric lens includes a treatment zone through which light passes to image at the retina of eyeball and a positioning zone of non-visual area outside treatment zone. The treatment zone includes a base curve and a reverse curve formed on outside of base curve. The positioning zone includes an alignment curve and a peripheral curve located outside alignment curve. A center point is formed in center of base curve, the junction of base curve and reverse curve forms a first point of intersection, the junction of reverse curve and alignment curve forms a second point of intersection, and the junction of alignment curve and peripheral curve forms a third point of intersection. The linear distance between the center point and the cornea of the preset eyeball is between 9 μm˜21 μm. The linear distance between the first point of intersection and the cornea of the preset eyeball is between 89 μm˜189 μm.

Abstract: A soft contact lens that includes a dome-shaped flexible sheet of material. The dome-shaped flexible sheet of material includes: (a) a non-optic zone comprising the periphery of the dome-shaped flexible sheet of material, and including: an upper peripheral zone comprising an upper part of the periphery of the dome-shaped flexible sheet of material, and a lower peripheral zone comprising a lower part of the periphery of the dome-shaped flexible sheet of material. The curvature of the dome-shaped flexible sheet of material is dynamically adaptable, by virtue of at least one of the upper and lower peripheral zones being structured to laterally expand and contract; and (b) an optic zone disposed in an area of the dome-shaped flexible sheet of material that lies between the upper and lower peripheral zones, wherein the optic zone is configured to align with a visual axis of the eye.

Abstract: An optical lens for use with an eyewear frame includes an inner surface and an outer surface, with the lens being configured to be positionable adjacent a wearer's eye to enable viewing through both the inner and outer surfaces of the lens. The optical lens additionally includes a plurality of magnification regions, with each magnification region extending between the inner surface and the outer surface and being associated with a respective minimum magnification magnitude and a respective peripheral boundary. The peripheral boundaries for the plurality of magnification regions are disposed about a common center of magnification. The lens includes a geometric center residing on at least one of a longitudinal midline of the lens or a latitudinal midline of the lens, with the center of magnification being offset from the geometric center.

Abstract: A method for determining an optical design criterion for designing an optical lens adapted to a sport practice, the method including: defining an evaluation axis for evaluating sensory/motor/cognitive requirement of a sport practice, for each of a plurality of sports; attributing a score to the sport practice on each evaluation axis; determining clusters of sports in which practices have similar score; determining at least one visual need corresponding to each cluster of sports; determining, for each cluster, at least one optical design criterion as a function of the associated visual need; and storing in a memory a record for each cluster, along with each optical design criterion associated with the cluster.

Abstract: A spectacle lens can inhibit ametropia of the eyes and ensure full visibility. The spectacle lens comprises: first refraction areas and second refraction areas. Each first refraction area has a first refraction force that may be based on a prescription for correcting the ametropia of the eyes. Each second refraction area has a refraction force different from the first refraction force and may function to focus images on the positions except the retina of the eyes, to inhibit the development of the ametropia. Near the central part of the lens, the second refraction areas form a plurality of independent island-shaped areas, and the first refraction areas form the areas beyond the areas of the second refraction areas.
