摘要: According to examples, a wearable device may include a frame and a prescription lens mounted to the frame, in which the corrective lens may include a diffractive surface having features structured to have a certain correction level. The wearable device may also include at least one optical component mounted to the frame, the at least one optical component being positioned immediately adjacent to the corrective lens, in which the diffractive surface of the corrective lens causes the corrective lens to have a sufficiently thin edge to prevent the edge of the corrective lens from occluding the at least one optical component.

摘要: A contact lens and a method for treating an eye with myopia is described. The contact lens includes an inner optic zone and an outer optic zone. The outer optic zone includes at least a portion with a first power, selected to correct distance vision. The inner optic zone has a relatively more positive power (and add power). In some embodiments the add power is substantially constant across the inner optic zone. In other embodiments the add power is variable across the inner optic zone. While in some embodiments the inner optic zone has a power designed to substantially eliminate lag of accommodation in the eye with myopia, in other embodiments, the add power may be higher.

摘要: An ophthalmic spectacle lens having transmittance properties that block UV and violet light and partially block certain cyan wavelengths to enhance contrast between blue versus green and partially block certain yellow wavelengths to enhance contrast between green versus red, and keep in accordance with the tristimulus values. Adding wavelength-selective organic dyes provides the entire functional attributes of the current invention or improves the contrast-enhancing attributes provided by a glass wafer having functional rare-earth oxides, either of which improve multi-band spectrum that is balanced in blocking UV light, and adding contrast between the primary colors to optimize color-enhancing functions. When using organic dyes for all functional attributes it is possible to integrate these dyes into plastic ophthalmic materials. Some lenses are polarized. Unlike other color-enhancing sunglass lenses, this invention may help protect the eyes from over-exposure to some high-energy visible blue light, which may lead to age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
