摘要: In response to a detected presence of an intended target appliance within a logical topography of controllable appliances identity information associated with the intended target appliance is used to automatically add to a graphical user interface of a controlling device an icon representative of the intended target appliance and to create at a Universal Control Engine a listing of communication methods for use in controlling corresponding functional operations of the intended target appliance. When the icon is later activated, the controlling device is placed into an operating state appropriate for controlling functional operations of the intended target appliance while the Universal Control Engine uses at least one of the communication methods to transmit at least one command to place the intended target appliance into a predetermined operating state.

摘要: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a housing, an infrared transmitter, a light guide member, and a decorative sheet. The infrared transmitter and the light guide member are both disposed in the housing. The housing is provided with a through hole, and at least a part of the light guide member is disposed in the through hole. The light guide member has a first end and a second end that are opposite to each other. The first end has a curved surface protruding opposite to the second end. The infrared transmitter is opposite to a light inlet surface, and the infrared transmitter emits infrared light toward the light inlet surface. The second end has a light outlet surface. At least a part of the infrared light incident in the light guide member through the light inlet surface emits on the light outlet surface.

摘要: A device for testing remote controls includes a main board, a data acquisition module (DAM), and one or more testing components. The main board communicates a testing instruction to the testing components which, then provide stimuli to a remote under test (RUT). The DAM receives, from the testing components, result data indicative of reaction(s) by the RUT to the stimuli. At least one of the stimuli is provided to the RUT and the result data is received by the DAM from the testing components. A first testing component provides a first stimuli to the RUT substantially simultaneously with a second testing component providing a second stimuli to the RUT. The first stimuli may include an acceleration of the RUT and the second stimuli may emulate a user action. The emulated user action emulates a button press, a button release, an audible input, and a touch screen action.

摘要: A terminal device and an infrared light transmission method are provided. A proximity light emission component and an infrared remote control emission component of the terminal device are in a shared mode. The proximity light emission component and the infrared remote control emission component share a same infrared lamp, lampshade, and appearance hole. A function of infrared remote control or a function of proximity light detection may be performed as required through one appearance hole, which can simplify hardware design and help to reduce costs. In addition, an infrared top path parallel to a screen of the terminal device and an infrared forward path perpendicular to the screen of the terminal device may be constructed based on an internal structure of the lampshade, and infrared light is transmitted through the infrared top path and the infrared forward path.

The test command causes the remote control device to transmit a program code from the program code set based on the test command. The control device monitors the media device and verifies that the program code associated with the test command controlled the associated function of the media device.

摘要: A system and method are provided herein for communicating with and controlling various devices using visible light communication (VLC). According to one embodiment, a method is provided for extending a communication range of a VLC system comprising a plurality of controlled devices and a remote-control device. Such a method may include, for example, transmitting a communication message from a remote-control device to a first controlled device located within range of the remote-control device, wherein the communication message is transmitted through free space using visible light, and extending the communication range of the VLC system to a second controlled device, which is located outside of the range of the remote-control device, by using the first controlled device to retransmit the communication message through free space using visible light to the second controlled device.

For example, a ceiling fan includes rotatable blades, an electric motor to rotate them, and a fan controller to control activation and deactivation and rotation speed of the electric motor. The ceiling fan further includes a non-Wi-Fi wireless receiver unit, such as a Sub-1 Gigahertz wireless receiver unit, to receive incoming non-Wi-Fi signals indicating control commands to the ceiling fan which is associated with an existing Fan Address Code. The ceiling fan also includes a Wi-Fi wireless receiver unit, to receive an incoming Wi-Fi message indicating a replacement Fan Address Code. The ceiling fan includes a Fan Address Code Modification Unit, to replace (i) the existing Fan Access Code of the ceiling fan, with (ii) a replacement Fan Access Code that was received via the incoming Wi-Fi message.

摘要: The present invention is a smart wireless remote-control device with image recognition function. The remote-control device mainly includes an image recognition mechanism, which is electrically connected to a signal transmission mechanism. The image recognition mechanism is composed of a camera lens unit and an image analysis unit, which is used to capture external images, and after interpretation, transmit the judgment results to the signal transmitting mechanism. The signal transmitting mechanism has a built-in transmitter that can send command signals wirelessly, such as Bluetooth, radio frequency (RF), and infrared (IR) transmitters, etc., for wirelessly sending command signals to the preset target. The target is equipped with a signal receiver.
