摘要: A metasurface may include a substrate layer and a two-dimensional array of metallic optical pillars arranged in parallel rows extending vertically relative to the substrate layer. Gaps between adjacent pillars form optical resonators and a tunable dielectric material is positioned in the optical resonators between the pillars. A reflective layer positioned between the substrate layer and the two-dimensional array of pillars may include a two-dimensional array of elongated rectangular reflector patches arranged in parallel rows with an electrical isolation gap between adjacent rows of reflector patches. The plurality of reflector patches may be arranged lengthwise within each row with an off-resonance gap between adjacent reflector patches. The reflector patches in adjacent rows may be offset with respect to one another, such that the off-resonance gaps between adjacent reflector patches in one row are not aligned with the off-resonance gaps between adjacent reflector patches in an adjacent row.

摘要: A long range low frequency antenna having an elongated magnetic core; a coil surrounding the elongated magnetic core; a bobbin; where the elongated magnetic core is introduced in a cavity of the bobbin; and a housing overmolded on the bobbin in a waterproof manner. The antenna also comprises at least one damper located at one extreme of the elongated magnetic core. The at least one damper is made of an elastic and thermally-stable compound having a resin and a first filler including a natural mineral filler. Therefore, longitudinal dilatations, shrinkage, mechanical shocks, and vibrations of the elongated magnetic core are absorbed by the at least one damper, avoiding an impact over an inductance variation of the coil.

The device also has a second radiating element coupled to the first radiating element and resonating at a second frequency, which element has a second line path extending from a first connecting portion connected to the sheet metal to a third end portion near the first end portion, and a third path line extending from an intermediate point between the first connecting portion and the third end portion to the fourth end portion. And a power supply circuit for a third frequency is connected to the fourth end via a cutoff circuit which cuts off the second frequency. With this configuration, the wireless communication device enables the communication in more frequency bands.

摘要: Scalar-longitudinal waves (SLWs) may be transmitted and/or received. A first apparatus configured to transmit and/or receive SLWs may include a linear first conductor configured to operate as a linear monopole antenna at a first operating frequency. The first apparatus may include a tubular second conductor coaxially aligned with the first conductor and an annular balun configured to cancel most or all return current on an outer surface of the second conductor during operation such that the first conductor transmits or receives SLWs. A second apparatus configured to transmit and/or receive scalar-longitudinal waves may include a bifilar coil formed in an alternating fashion of a first conductor and a second conductor such that an electrical current in the coil will propagate in opposite directions in adjacent turns of the coil thereby cancelling any magnetic field so that during operation the coil transmits or receives SLWs.

An integrated MPD radiating source utilizing an 8-phase ring oscillator and eight power amplifiers to drive the MPD antenna at 161 GHz with a total radiated power of −2 dBm and a single element EIRP of 4.6 dBm has been demonstrated in silicon with single lobe well behaved radiation patterns closely matching simulation.

摘要: An antenna device has at least one antenna element with two radiators disposed on a retainer member. The retainer member may be a separate unit but may also constitute an integral part of a casing for a cell or mobile telephone. In order to provide superior antenna performance and simple impedance adaptation, the radiators are connected in parallel and are designed so that they have a surface extent which is shaped to conform closely with the shape of interior surfaces of the casing. In one embodiment, there is an outer radiator which has a connecting portion which is located physically proximal the antenna element in order thereby to realize a capacitative/inductive connection of the outer radiator to the antenna element.

摘要: A multiple frequency band, multi-spiral antenna that employs filters to pass the band of one spiral and reject the band of the other spirals. Additional isolation is achieved by arranging adjacent spirals to have opposite senses. All the isolation and filtering is accomplished within the body of the antenna. The antenna includes two, two-arm spirals. The higher frequency spiral resides in the interior of the lower frequency spiral. The two spirals are concentric about each other, and lie on the same plane. A balun and filter circuit is connected to the two spirals, and is disposed within the antenna body.

摘要: A folded broadband antenna provides a symmetrical radiation pattern comparable to corresponding planar antennas (such as a planar spiral). The folded antenna can be integrated into a leading edge radome, eliminating the forward antenna cavity, and thereby, eliminating the internal wall reflections that cause radiation pattern distortion. A broadband antenna (61/62), such as an archimedean spiral, is folded at an apex area (64) that includes a fold-slot (66). The fold-slot enhances flexure, and allows a center-feed balun shielding tube (84) to extend into close proximity to the antenna aperture (61) for increased balun shielding.

摘要: The antenna is adapted to be connected to a coaxial cable and includes a dielectric carrier board and a radiating element undulating longitudinally of the carrier board. The carrier board and radiating element are disposed in a conductive channel which has side walls adjacent the side edges of the carrier board. An input transition means is provided between the center conductor of the coaxial connector and the undulating track to provide a transition from the impedance of the coaxial cable to the impedance of the radiating element of the sandwich-wire antenna. When the antenna may, or may not, be connected to a coaxial cable, the side walls extend above the carrier board for such a height that the radiating aperture, which comprises the gap between the top edges of the side walls, presents a resistive load in the plane of the radiating element.
