摘要: An outdoor solar powered recliner of the invention has a seat main assembly having a seat surface and a back rest assembly. A leg rest is movable with respect to the seat main assembly. A solar panel on the seat main assembly provides power to a battery. The solar panel may be hidden beneath a mesh seat fabric or located adjacent seat back supports. An actuator manipulates the leg rest and/or back rest assembly. A control panel controls activation of at least one of a light source and the actuator and communicates with a circuit board and the battery. A cavity beneath the seat portion may be provided to house the battery, solar panel, and to store a solar equipped cover. Arms on the recliner may be provided with an accessory orifice to receive a mounting member of an accessory table.

The method may include identifying whether the normal set point of the solar panel is outside of the allowable range of tilt angles, and responsive to identifying that the normal set point of the solar panel is outside of the allowable range of tilt angles, determining a temporary stow set point. The method may include rotating the solar panel to the temporary stow set point.

The method may include determining a stowing score that quantifies whether the hail event is likely to occur within a period of time based on the information from the weather forecasting service. Responsive to the stowing score exceeding a threshold value, a time at which the incoming hail event is likely to occur may be predicted based on the weather forecasting service information. The threshold value may indicate a threshold likelihood of the hail event occurring or a threshold period of time before occurrence. The method may include determining a wind direction at the predicted time at which the hail event is likely to occur and stowing photovoltaic modules based on the wind direction.

摘要: Support platforms for one or more solar panels and systems and methods for securing support platforms are provided. In one embodiment, a frame of a support platform includes a plurality of support legs, each leg including a shoe plate. One or more toggle anchors with rod and/or cable are provided that include an anchor portion and a toggle portion pivotally coupled to the anchor portion, and a rod and/or cable is coupled to the toggle portion. Each anchor is driven into the ground with a driving rod such that an exposed end of the rod and/or cable extends from the ground. The driving rod is removed, and the rod and/or cable is pulled to deploy the anchor, and which the anchor is pull tested and measured in real time soil conditions whereupon the exposed end is coupled to the shoe plate of one of the support legs to apply a desired tensile force between the exposed end and the anchor to secure the support leg and, consequently, the support platform relative to the ground.
