    摘要: This document describes techniques for synchronizing rendering of multi-channel audio output. First audio data corresponding to a first audio channel and second audio data corresponding to a second audio channel may be received. The first and second audio data may be configured for simultaneous rendering. A transmission schedule for wirelessly transmitting audio data to each of first and second audio rendering devices may be configured, according to which the first audio data may be scheduled for transmission to the first audio rendering device after the second audio data is scheduled for transmission to the second audio rendering device by a first length of time. An indication may be wirelessly transmitted to the second audio rendering device to delay rendering audio data by the first length of time. The first and second audio data may be wirelessly transmitted to the first and second audio rendering devices according to the transmission schedule.

    摘要: In one aspect, an example method for outputting an alert indicating a functional state of a back-up audio-broadcast system involves: a computing device receiving a first audio-stream that represents first audio-content; the computing device generating a first signature based, at least in part, upon an extent of single-channel/multi-channel transitions included within the first audio-content; the computing device receiving a second audio-stream that represents second audio-content; the computing device generating a second signature based, at least in part, upon an extent of single-channel/multi-channel transitions included within the second audio-content; the computing device making a determination that the generated first-signature and the generated second-signature lack a threshold extent of similarity; and responsive to the determination that the generated first-signature and the generated second-signature lack the threshold extent of similarity, the computing device outputting an alert.

    摘要: A computer-implemented method for reducing a noise signal added to an amplitude modulated (AM) broadcast signal while travelling from a broadcasting antenna to a receiving antenna is provided. The method includes capturing a signal representative of the AM broadcast signal corrupted by the noise signal via the receiving antenna, inverting the captured signal, and determining a carrying frequency of the AM broadcast signal and delaying the inverted waveform by a fraction of a cycle of the carrying frequency. The method further includes generating a difference signal by subtractively combining the captured signal and the delayed inverted signal, generating an estimate noise signal by reducing an amplitude of the generated difference signal using a noise-reduction control multiplier, and minimizing the corrupting noise signal component of the captured signal by subtractively combining the captured signal and the generated estimate noise signal.

The sample is then conveyed to an analyzing means (106) to determine to which broadcast station the user is listening. The analyzing means monitors many broadcast channels. Thus, characteristics of the audio sample and samples taken from the broadcast channels can be compared to find a match. Broadcast information pertaining to the broadcast channel from which the match was found may then be reported back to the user, combined with an advertisement of a promotion, prize notification, discount offers, and other information specific for a certain radio station for example.
