摘要: Arrangements for transitioning content are presented herein. A first signal, associated with a media playback device, can be received that includes first user identification information. A first user can be identified based on the first signal. Media content can be caused to be presented on the media playback device based on the identification of the first user. A second signal can be received that associated with the media playback device. A determination can be made that the first user has transitioned away from the media playback device based on the second signal. The media content may then no longer be presented by the media playback device in response to determining that the first user has transitioned away from the media playback device.

摘要: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for the detection of human presence in an energy efficient manner using a plurality of sensors such as those of a battery-powered device such as a television remote, and a device with a processor, such as a television. Data gathered from an initial television WiFi radio scan, or an initial low-powered detection scan from the television remote, may be analyzed by the processor to determine a potential presence of one or more humans are present proximate to the device. If there is such a potential presence, the device remote can enter a full-powered detection mode to accurately determine the presence or absence of one or more humans, and take further actions.

An example apparatus disclosed herein includes an image sensor to observe a first image of a face, and a logic circuit to determine whether the face in the first image is in a first orientation with respect to the image sensor, and when the face in the first image is in the first orientation: trigger the image sensor to capture a second image of the face, and perform a facial recognition process on the second image, but not on the first image.

摘要: Example methods disclosed herein include accessing a query requesting a metric associated with a number of unique members of an audience of media over an aggregate monitoring interval corresponding to a plurality of component monitoring intervals. Disclosed example methods also include determining respective aggregate interval probability distributions modeling likelihoods of respective monitored individuals being exposed to the media during the aggregate monitoring interval, a first one of the aggregate interval probability distributions for a first one of the monitored individuals being determined by combining parameters of respective component interval probability distributions modeling likelihoods of the first one of the monitored individuals being exposed to the media during respective ones of the component monitoring intervals. Disclosed example methods further include evaluating an audience-level probability distribution determined from the aggregate interval probability distributions to determine the metric to transmit to the computing device in response to the query.

A facial recognition process is used to identify each audience member, and certain audience characteristics are determined from the captured image. Stored information about the identified audience members and/or the audience characteristic information are used to determine the media content to provide to a playback device for playback while the exhibit is viewed by the audience.

Example apparatus disclosed herein include means for discarding existing characteristic datasets from a list; means for populating the list with first characteristic datasets obtained from a first plurality of images representative of an environment during a first period of time of a media presentation; means for limiting a number of the first characteristic datasets stored in the list for a first location represented in the first plurality of images; and means for comparing the first characteristic datasets to each other to determine a first number of unique faces in the environment during the first period of time, wherein the means for discarding is to delete the first characteristic datasets from the list, and the means for populating is to re-populate the list with second characteristic datasets obtained from a second plurality of images representative of the environment.
