摘要: In some embodiments, a video decoder decodes a video from a bitstream of the video using a history-based rice parameter derivation. The video decoder accesses a binary string representing a partition of the video and processes each coding tree unit (CTU) in the partition to generate decoded coefficient values in the CTU. The process includes updating a replacement variable for a transform unit (TU) in the CTU for calculating rice parameters independently of the previous TU or CTU. The process further includes calculating the rice parameters for TU in the CTU based on the value of the replacement variable and decoding the binary string corresponding to the TU into coefficient values based on the calculated rice parameters. Pixel values of the TU can be determined from the decoded coefficient values for output.

摘要: A method for decoding a video includes that: a decoder decodes a video from a bitstream of the video; the decoder accesses a bitstream of the video and extracts a GCI flag from the bitstream; the decoder determines that one or more general constraints are imposed for the video based on the GCI flag value and extracts, from the bitstream of the video, a value indicating a quantity of additional bits included in the bitstream of the video, the additional bits include flag bits indicating respective additional coding tools to be constrained for the video; if the value is greater than five, the decoder extracts six flags from the bitstream of the video that indicate respective constraints for six additional coding tools; and the decoder decodes the bitstream of the video into images based on the constraints for the six additional coding tools indicated by the six flags.

摘要: A method for temporal motion information prediction is provided. The method includes the following. At least one non-adjacent position of a current block is determined. First temporal motion information of the current block is determined according to motion information of the at least one non-adjacent position in a coded picture. The coded picture is a reference picture of the current block, and the first temporal motion information of the current block is determined according to the motion information of the at least one non-adjacent position in the coded picture as follows. A collocated block corresponding to the non-adjacent position in the reference picture is determined. Motion information of the collocated block is obtained. The first temporal motion information of the current block is obtained by scaling a motion vector in the obtained motion information.

摘要: A length indicator associated with an encoded representation of a slice is parsed. The length indicator is indicative of a length of an extension field present in a slice header of the encoded representation. A decoder can then determine to ignore, during decoding of the encoded representation, any value of the extension field in the slice header where these values are identified based on the length indicator. As a consequence, an extension field can be added to slice headers and still enable legacy decoders to correctly decode the encoded representations.

摘要: There is disclosed a method of encoding an input signal, the method comprising: receiving a base encoded signal, the base encoded signal being generated by feeding an encoder with a down-sampled version of an input signal; producing a first residual signal by: decoding the base encoded signal to produce a first decoded signal; and using a difference between the base decoded signal and the down-sampled version of the input signal to produce the first residual signal; producing a second residual signal by: correcting the base decoded signal using the residual signal to create a corrected decoded version; up-sampling the corrected decoded version; and using a difference between the up-sampled corrected decoded signal and the input signal to produce the second residual signal; wherein the up-sampling is one of bilinear or bicubic up-sampling. A corresponding decoding method is also disclosed.

摘要: An image decoding method according to the present document comprises the steps of: receiving a quantized transform coefficient for a target block and a transform index for non-separable quadratic transform; deriving transform coefficients by inversely quantizing the quantized transform coefficient; deriving corrected transform coefficients on the basis of a transform kernel matrix in a predetermined transform set indicated by the transform index; and deriving residual samples for the target block on the basis of inverse linear transform for the corrected transform coefficients, wherein when the target block is divided into a predetermined number of sub-blocks and is coded by intra prediction, the corrected transform coefficients are derived in units of the sub-blocks, and the transform index is received for the target block.
