Abstract:
Methods and computer program products for establishing communication events between an initiator user and a recipient user over a first communication system. The initiator and recipient users are contacts within a second communication system but are not contacts within the first communication system. For the initiator and recipient users, an association between a first user identity in the first communication system and a second user identity in the second communication system is determined. The initiator user device uses the association for the recipient user to determine the first user identity of the recipient user. A setup request to establish the communication event is sent over the first communication system from a first initiator client to a first recipient client. A communication event is authorized to proceed over the first communication system on the basis that the initiator user and the recipient user are contacts within the second communication system.
Abstract:
A method of providing an availability of an execution of an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem voice session via a packet switched capable radio access network of an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem based communication network (100) with a terminal (102) is described. The communication network (100) comprises a packet switched domain associated with the packet switched capable radio access network. The communication network (100) supports an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem voice session via the packet switched capable radio access network. The terminal (102) supports an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem voice session via the packet switched capable radio access network and an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem emergency voice session via the packet switched capable radio access network. The method is executed by a control node (112) of the packet switched domain (106). The method comprises sending (264) instruction information to the terminal (102). The instruction information instructs the terminal (102) to execute an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem voice session via the packet switched capable radio access network without regard to whether the communication network (100) having indicated support of an emergency session related data transmission via the packet switched capable radio access network and the packet switched domain (106). The latter enable an improved usage of capabilities of the terminal (102).
Abstract:
An IP telephony service allows customers to form user groups. Each user group can include multiple telephony devices that are associated with one or more users. One or more group identifiers would be associated with each user group. When an incoming communication is directed to a user group, a group identifier is used to retrieve a list of the members of the group, or a list of devices that correspond to the members of the user group. The communication is then sent to one or more members of the group, or to one or more of the devices that correspond to members of the user group. Handling preferences may determine how the incoming communication is delivered. In some instances, the incoming communication could be a telephone call. In other instances, the incoming communication could be a SMS message or an instant message.
Abstract:
A system and method is described for establishing a communications session between a telecommunications device and one or more registered users on web-based networks, such as social networks. Further details and features are described herein.
Abstract:
A system is described for managing service interactions in a combined service. The system comprises a first service delivery means for providing a first service, a second service delivery means for providing a second service, a combined service delivery means for providing a combined service capable of associating the first service to one of the second service. The combined service is implemented using a combined state model, which comprises a predetermined number of combined states formed on the basis of the states of the first and the second service and armed detection points for detecting predetermined transitions between the combined states. The combined service delivery means further comprises a combined state manager adapted to transmit a control signal to the first and/or the second service delivery means for inducing a predetermined state transition in the respective first and/or the second service in response to the activation of an armed detection point.

Abstract:
A method for generating recommendations for a user of a mobile device is provided. The user is associated with a service provider. A request for a recommendation is obtained. Data associated with the user and data on the content available to the user is retrieved from the service provider. A list of recommendations is generated based on an analysis of the retrieved user data. The recommendations are generated by a plurality of different recommendation techniques.
