Abstract: A sorting system (1) comprising a lower sorter (2) including a plurality of lower sorter units (4) drivable along a loop-shaped lower path, an upper sorter (3) including a plurality of upper sorter units (5) drivable along a loop-shaped upper path, extending above the lower path. The lower/upper sorters is provided with a first lower/upper input (6)(11), a second lower/upper input (7)(12), a first lower/upper output (8) (13) and a second lower/upper output (9)(14), the first lower/upper output (8)(13) being located downstream of the first lower/upper input (6)( 11) and upstream of the second lower input (7) (12), the second lower/upper output (9)( 14) being located downstream of the second lower/upper input (7)(12) and upstream of the first lower/upper input (6)(11). The sorting system also comprises a pre-sorter being configured to supply articles to the lower and upper sorter units (4, 5) at the second lower and upper inputs (7, 12), which pre-sorted articles are destined for the second lower and upper outputs (9, 14), respectively, substantially only. The second lower output (9) is located at the first upper output (13) and the first lower output (8) is located at the second upper output (14).

Abstract: A conveyor system includes a rail that supports multiple carts that move along a track of the conveyor system. A plurality of sensors is operably connected to the rail and configured to measure vibrations of the rail as the carts move along the track. One or more sensors are operably connected to the cart and configured to take measurements of the cart as the cart moves along the track. A central controller collects data from sensors, and a processor analyzes the data to determine whether the data is within a predetermined range that corresponds to normal operation of the conveyor system. A method of operating the conveyor system includes moving the multiple carts along the rail and collecting data from the sensors. The data is analyzed to determine if it is within a predetermined range.

In one embodiment, a sanitizer component for cleaning a tray coupled to a cart in an assembly line grow pod is disclosed. The sanitizer component is coupled to a track such that the cart and the tray are received in the sanitizer component via the track. The sanitizer component comprises a first actuator arm positioned underneath the track and extendable through an opening in the track and an aperture at a bottom end of the cart to contact the tray such that the tray rotates in a first direction. The sanitizer component further includes an actuator motor coupled to the first actuator arm for extending the first actuator arm and a controller. The controller is communicatively connected to the actuator motor in the sanitizer component.
