Abstract:
A method for placing a feminine hygiene article in the crotch portion of an undergarment having a crotch portion bounded on opposite sides by portions of curved leg openings. The method comprising the steps of providing a feminine hygiene article having a body-facing surface and at least one functional enhancement indicator visible from the body-facing surface, the functional enhancement indicator providing a distinct visual emphasis to a portion of the feminine hygiene article; orienting the feminine hygiene article with respect to the crotch portion such that the at least one functional enhancement indicator is oriented toward the front of the undergarment; and, affixing the feminine hygiene article to the crotch portion of the undergarment.
Abstract:
A package including absorbent articles and recloseable packaging. The packaging includes a flexible pocket having a hollow interior for said absorbent articles and an opening extending into the hollow interior for permitting an article to be withdrawn from the hollow interior. The packaging also includes a flap having a proximal end attached to the pocket and a distal end opposite the proximal end. The flap may be moved between an open position to permit an article to be withdrawn through the opening and a closed position to retain the articles in the pocket. The flap has a proximal width at the proximal end and a distal width at the distal end shorter than the proximal width.
Abstract:
Absorbent article (20) comprising a three-dimensional material (200) on the wearer-facing side and an absorbent core with material-free channels (26). The three-dimensional material comprises a fibrous support layer (210), a fibrous projection layer (220) and a plurality of hollow projections (230) formed from a first plurality of fibers in the projection layer.
Abstract:
A package of personal care articles. Each of the personal care articles has a nonwoven substrate as a component. The nonwoven substrate can have a first surface defining a plane of the first surface and a non-regular pattern of a plurality of three-dimensional features extending outwardly from the plane of the first surface. The non-regular pattern can include a first zone of first three-dimensional features and a second zone of second three-dimensional features, wherein in at least one of the first or second zones of the plurality of three-dimensional features has a first three-dimensional feature having a first intensive property and a second three-dimensional feature having a second, different intensive property. The personal care articles can be compressed in the package.
Abstract:
A disposable absorbent article having a topsheet, a backsheet, and an absorbent core disposed therebetween is described herein. The topsheet includes an array of apertures and a first array of structures which are disposed adjacent the array of apertures. A first plurality of the array of apertures is disposed generally parallel to a longitudinal axis, a second plurality of apertures has a first Absolute Feret angle, and a third plurality of apertures has a second Absolute Feret angle. The first Absolute Feret angle is different than the second Absolute Feret angle.
Abstract:
A method of forming a three-dimensional laminate for an absorbent article is provided. The method comprises providing a first nonwoven layer, providing a second nonwoven layer, and applying a pre-strain force to the first nonwoven layer or to the second nonwoven layer. The method comprises joining the first nonwoven layer to the second nonwoven layer while the first nonwoven layer or the second nonwoven layer is in a pre-strained condition, and releasing the pre-strain force to form the three-dimensional laminate.
Abstract:
A patterned apertured web comprises a layer comprising a plurality of apertures and a plurality of land areas. The plurality of apertures comprise a first set of apertures in a first zone and a second set of apertures in a second zone. The first set of apertures in the first zone have Interaperture Distances, according to the Aperture Test herein. The Interaperture Distances of the first set of apertures have a first distribution having a first mean and a first median. The first mean is different than the first median. The second set of apertures in the second zone have Interaperture Distances, according to the Aperture Test herein. The Interaperture Distances of the second set of apertures have a second distribution having a second mean and a second median. The second mean is different than the second median. The first and second sets of apertures have different patterns.
