The invention relates to a solution for coloring and imparting fluorescence to a zirconia dental article, the solution comprising: • a solvent, • a coloring agent comprising ions selected from Tb, Er, Pr, Mn and combinations thereof, • a fluorescing agent comprising ions of Bi, the solution not comprising Fe ions in an amount above about 0.05 wt.-% with respect to the weight of the whole solution.

Die Erfindung betriffen einen Zirkonoxidwerkstoff und einen Sinterformkörper aus diesem Werkstoff, in dem das Zirkonoxid zu 70 bis 99,9 Vol-% in der tetragonalen Phase vorliegt, wobei die tetragonale Phase chemisch stabilisiert ist und als chemische Stabilisatoren Oxide der Seltenen Erden enthalten sind.

Ein Keramikkörper (20) zur Verwendung in einem Knochenimplantat, insbesondere in einem Dentalimplantat (24) soll für die Anwendung eines elektrolytischen Reinigungsund Behandlungskonzepts geeignet ertüchtig sein. Dazu weist der Keramikkörper (20) erfindungsgemäß in einem für einen Kontakt mit menschlichem Gewebe vorgesehenen Oberflächenbereich (40) einen spezifischen elektrischen Widerstand von höchstens 10 -2 Ω cm auf.

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing of a glass ceramic material for dental applications. The method comprises: providing a first precursor comprising silicon (IV); providing a second precursor comprising zirconium (IV); hydrolyzing said first precursor and second precursor in solution; polymerizing of the hydrolysed first precursor and second precursor in a solvent, wherein polymers are formed; formation of colloids comprising said polymers; formation of a gel from said colloids; aging the gel; drying the gel; producing particles from the aged and dried gel, and; compacting and sintering the particles under formation of a glass ceramic material.

The present invention is directed to a porous pre-densified CeO2 stabilized ZrO2 ceramic having a density of 50.0 to 95.0%, relative to the theoretical density of zirconia, and an open porosity of 5 to 50% as well as to a densified CeO2 stabilized ZrO2 ceramic having a density of 97.0 to 100.0%, relative to the theoretical density of zirconia, and wherein the grains of the ceramic have an average grain size of 50 to 1000 nm, methods for the preparation of the pre-densified and densified ceramics and their use for the manufacture of dental restorations.

본 발명은 지르코니아 분말을 포함하는 치아 충전용 조성물에 있어서, 조성물 총중량에 대하여 지르코니아 분말, 수경성 무기 결합제, 약산성 경화조절제 및 포졸란 성분을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 치아 충전용 조성물에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 치아 충전용 조성물은 지르코니아 분말을 조성물 총중량에 대하여 45 내지 85%로 포함하고 최소량의 무기 결합제를 포함하여 방사선 불투과성이 우수하면서도 중금속을 거의 포함하지 않아 생체 친화성이 우수하므로, 다양한 치아 충전에 안전하고 광범위하게 사용될 수 있다.
Abstract:
A colored ceramic powder is compacted into a green state body via isostatic or biaxial pressing. The colored ceramic powder is produced from a mixture of a coloring solution consisting of metallic salts that is introduced to a ceramic slurry and subsequently dried. A coloring solution may comprise for example a metallic salt, a solvent, an organic solvent such as derivatives of propylene oxides, and an acid. Such a coloring solution can be used as a coloring agent for a ceramic body. The solution is thoroughly mixed with the ceramic slurry. Following the addition of the coloring agent, a binder can be added to the color slip. The amount of binder added can be anywhere from 0.5% to 10% by weight. Such a binder can be organic based, alcohol based, or acrylic based. Once all the constituents are thoroughly mixed to a homogeneous state, the slip is dried. The drying process can range from a conventional means to a more sophisticated methods which use spray drying equipment.. The slip can be subjected to a heating process over a range of temperatures such that all residual moisture is removed, leaving only a dried press-able powder. The dried powder can then be subjected to an isostatic or biaxial press manufacturing process to create a green state ceramic body. Once pressed, the ceramic body can be subjected to a sintering process. After final sinter, the resulting ceramic body possesses an innate color that is homogenous throughout its composition. The method is especially useful for coloring zirconia dental restorations.
