The first coupling member (10) is releasably engageable with a second coupling member (20) to form an articulated joint for controlling the axle in accordance with movements of the towing vehicle. The second coupling member (20) is mountable on a device for steering an axle on a trailed implement. A latching means (80) cooperates with the first and the second coupling members to releasably lock the first and the second coupling members in their engagement, and a catch member (30) positionable by the latching means (80) adjacent the first and second coupling members so as to prevent the first and the second coupling members from disengaging from each other. The catch member (30) is also positionable away from the first and the second coupling members to enable disengagement of the first and the second coupling members.

The system can also be used for controlling dangerous sway and instability of a towed vehicle.

Отличается тем, что на прицеп, в поле видимости камеры, дополнительно устанавливают маркер, измеряют взаимное пространственное положение закреплённых на транспортном средстве устройства глобального координатного позиционирования, устройства измерения пространственной ориентации и цифровой камеры. В момент формирования кадра измеряют координаты и данные ориентации, находят на исходном изображении пиксели, соответствующие маркеру, и строят упрощённый макет кадра сохраняя в макете кадра данные только об этих пикселях. На основе полученных данных - вычисляют пространственное положение и ориентацию камеры, по которым проводят коррекцию перспективных искажений макета кадра, а по расположению пикселей маркера на макете кадра, - вычисляют позицию и азимутальную ориентацию маркера, по которым - вычисляют позицию и азимутальную ориентацию прицепа. Устройство, реализующее способ, включающее в себя измерительно- вычислительное устройство и закреплённые на транспортном средстве цифровую камеру для формирования кадра изображения, устройство глобального координатного позиционирования и устройство измерения пространственной ориентации, отличающееся тем, что на прицепе расположен маркер, измерительно-вычислительное устройство, связанно с камерой, устройством позиционирования и устройством измерения ориентации, и выполнено с возможностью обработки кадров камеры и данных, поступающих с устройств позиционирования и ориентации, и с возможностью вычисления позиции и азимутальной ориентации прицепа.

A variation in the distance occurring as the tractor is steered, between the tractor and the trailer is transmitted to a steering means by the steering rod so that the direction of steering of the trailer is controlled in association with the steering of the tractor. A reinforcement connection mechanism (80) is provided in the steering means connected to the steering rod. Even if the connection section is obliquely pushed and turned or obliquely pulled and turned, a connection section where the steering means is connected is reinforced by the reinforcement connection mechanism, so that the steering means is reliably and smoothly operated for a long period while being associated with movement of the steering rod.
