Verfahren zum Betrieb einer Vorrichtung (1) zur Reinigung von Abgas einer mit Luftüberschuss betriebenen Verbrennungskraftmaschine (2), wobei die Vorrichtung (1) zumindest einen wenigstens teilweise mit Abgas in Kontakt stehenden Heizapparat (3) umfasst, der mittels elektrischer Energie aktiviert werden kann und wenigstens teilweise mit einer Oxidationsbeschichtung (4) ausgeführt ist, wobei: a) der wenigstens eine Heizapparat (3) über eine vorgegebene erste Solltemperatur (19) erwärmt wird, b) nachfolgend zumindest die Temperatur des wenigstens einen Heizapparates (3) oder des Abgases überwacht wird, und c) eine Anhebung des Kohlenwasserstoff-Anteils des Abgases veranlasst wird, wenn zumindest Temperatur des Heizapparates (3) oder des Abgases eine Grenztemperatur (21) erreicht hat, oder eine Niedriglastphase (24) der Verbrennungskraftmaschine (2) vorliegt.

Verfahren zur Widerstandsmessung eines von mindestens einer chemischen und/oder physikalischen Messgröße abhängigen Widerstandselements, wobei ein erster Spannungsteiler aus wenigstens einem ersten Referenzwiderstand und einem Messwiderstand gebildet wird, wobei mittels einer Verstärkerschaltung eine über den ersten Spannungsteiler abfallende Teilspannung verstärkt wird, wobei ein zweiter Spannungsteiler aus wenigstens einem zweiten Referenzwiderstand und dem Messwiderstand gebildet wird, wobei mittels der Verstärkerschaltung eine über den zweiten Spannungsteiler abfallende Teilspannung verstärkt wird, wobei ein dritter Spannungsteiler aus wenigstens dem von der chemischen und/oder physikalischen Messgröße abhängigen Widerstandselement und dem Messwiderstand gebildet wird, wobei mittels der Verstärkerschaltung eine über den dritten Spannungsteiler abfallende Teilspannung verstärkt wird, wobei aus wenigstens den Werten der über den ersten, zweiten und dritten Spannungsteiler abfallenden und verstärkten Teilspannungen und den Werten des ersten und des zweiten Referenzwiderstands und des Messwiderstands der Widerstandswert des von der physikalischen und/oder chemischen Messgröße abhängigen Widerstandselements bestimmt wird.

The present invention is concerned with means and methods for maintaining and preserving enzymatic activity. In particular, the invention relates to a dry composition comprising a dehydrogenase, a redox cofactor, an agent capable of eliciting at least one measurable change in a property of an indicator reagent in the presence of redox equivalents, an indicator reagent, and at least one pyridine-carboxylic acid or a derivative or salt thereof. The invention further contemplates a diagnostic test element for the determination of an analyte from a body fluid sample and a method for the manufacture of such a test element. Further envisaged by the present invention is the use of a pyridine-carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof for reducing a decrease of the enzymatic activity of at least one enzyme in a composition under dry and/or under humid conditions. Furthermore, contemplated is a method for determining the presence or amount analyte in a body fluid sample based on the test element according to the invention.

A method and apparatus utilize a location resolution request that may be sent to one or more devices to obtain a reply that provides location information. The reply may also identify a relative time such as the age of the location information and estimated accuracy of such information. Multiple location resolution request messages may be sent so that the location information obtained from replies to that message can be processed utilizing an error correction method to improve the reliability and precision of the location information until the location information that is so corrected is determined to be at or above a predetermined accuracy threshold such as at or above a 90% accuracy confidence interval or that a determined location is at or exceeds a predetermined confidence interval.

The invention refers to an arrangement and a method for determining a longitudinal position of a stopper (4) for sealing a compartment (5) of a translucent medicament container (1) for a liquid medicament (M). The arrangement comprises a circular light source (8) and a photo sensitive sensor (7), wherein either the light source (8) or the sensor (7) is laterally arrangeable next to the medicament container (1) extending over at least part of the length of the medicament container (1), and wherein the respective other of the light source (8) and the sensor (7) is arrangeable in a circular manner around a head of the medicament container (1). The light source is arranged to emit light into the medicament container. The light is scattered by the medicament or medicament container (1) and detected by the sensor (7). The sensor (7) is connected to a processor unit for detecting the position of the stopper (4).
