Abstract:
Apparatus for detecting optical radiation emitted from an array of spots on an object. The apparatus includes a plurality of light guides having respective input ends and output ends, with the input ends ordered in a geometrical arrangement corresponding to the array of the spots. Relay optics collect and focus the optical radiation from the object onto the input ends such that each input end receives the optical radiation from a corresponding one of the spots. Multiple detectors and each coupled to receive the optical radiation from an output end of a respective one of the light guides.
Abstract:
A method and an inspection system that exhibiting speckle reduction characteristics includes a light source arranged to generate input light pulses, and diffuser-free speckle reduction optics that include a beam splitter, for splitting an input light pulse from the light source into multiple light pulses that are oriented at angles in relation to each other when exiting the beam splitter, and at least one optical element for directing the multiple light pulses to impinge on an inspected object at different angles.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems and methods for creating, distributing and playing illumination data files. The illumination data files, created using luminaire development systems are uploaded to a luminaire management system, where they are further processed and packaged for sale or license within a luminaire marketplace. Consumers and enterprises using luminaires may establish accounts with the luminaire management system and marketplace to access illumination data files for playback on individual or multiple luminaires. Consumers and enterprises may also create play lists and uniquely configure the luminaires to display various lighting effects based on user preferences, environmental factors or energy efficient settings.
Abstract:
Linked documents are ranked by observing link selections for referred documents from referring documents and counting such selections. The counts for each of the link selections are stored at various computer systems of a distributed network, a centralized collection of computers connected through a local network, or a hybrid system (collectively, the "system") consisting of combinations of distributed and centralized systems, and processed (e.g., using a discrete probability distribution defined by the counts of the link selections) to obtain page ranks for the referred documents. The link selections may be observed by a browser extension running on individual ones of the computer systems of the distributed network and the counts of the link selections may be stored at locations within the system determined by a distributed hash table. Search request results may be displayed in a ranked order as determined by the page ranks.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus including a first processing module that is configured to provide data, a network services module, an instant messaging module including a streaming module integrated in the instant messaging module, and an instant messaging controller. The instant messaging module is configured to support execution of a first instant messaging client. The streaming module is configured to process the data to generate processed data, and to send the processed data to die network services module in response to the instant messaging controller. The instant messaging controller is configured to control the instant messaging module. The first instant messaging client is configured to log on to an instant messaging service, log off from the instant messaging service, exchange information with the instant messaging service, and transmit the processed data via the instant messaging service.
Abstract:
An automated configuration management system (ACMS) oversees resources of a ivtrualized ecosystem by establishing a baseline configuration (including, e.g., security controls) for the resources; and, repeatedly, monitoring and collecting data from the resources, analyzing the data collected, making recommendations concerning configuration changes for the resources of the virtualized ecosystem based on the analysis, and either adopting and implementing the recommendations or not, wherein new states of the virtualized ecosystem and reactions to recommended changes are observed and applied in the form of new recommendations, and/or as adjustments to the baseline. The recommendations may be implemented automatically or only upon review by an administrator before being implemented or not. The various data may be analyzed according to benchmarks established for security and compliance criteria of the resources of the virtualized ecosystem, for example static/pre-defined or dynamically derived benchmarks/best practices.
Abstract:
A polishing pad has one or more polishing elements made from a hydrogel material having an intrinsic ability to absorb water. The hydrogel material may or may not have micropores, but has a water absorption capability of 4% - 60% by weight, a wet tensile strength greater than 1000 psi, a flexural modulus greater than 2000 psi, and a wet Shore D hardness between 25-80, inclusive. The hydrogel material may be made from one or a combination of the following moeties: urethane, alkylene oxides, esters, ethers, acrylic acids, acrylamides, amides, imides, vinylalcohols, vinylacetates, acrylates, methacrylates, sulfones, urethanes, vinylchlorides, etheretherketones, and/or carbonates.
Abstract:
Transport stream (TS) packets containing sections of IP datagrams for an application level process are received and correct ones of said sections are stored into an MPE-FEC frame buffer of a receiver. Stored ones of said sections are reorganized within the frame buffer so as to leave appropriate positions, marked for erasure, within the frame buffer available for corrected data. Data bytes stored at the appropriate positions may be corrected using Reed-Solomon parity data stored in the frame buffer and then subsequently written back thereto.
Abstract:
A polishing pad includes a guide plate having a plurality of holes therein and being affixed to a compressible under-layer; and a plurality of conducting polishing elements each affixed to the compressible under-layer and passing through a sealed contact with a proton exchange membrane and corresponding hole in the guide plate so as to be maintained in a substantially vertical orientation with respect to the compressible under-layer but being translatable in a vertical direction with respect to the guide plate. The polishing pad may also include a slurry distribution material fastened to the guide plate by an adhesive. Pad wear sensors may also be provided in the polishing pad.
Abstract:
A system and method for inspecting an article, the system includes a spatial filter that is shaped such as to direct output beams towards predefined locations and an optical beam directing entity, for directing the multiple output beams toward multiple detector arrays. The method includes spatially filtering multiple input light beams to provide substantially aberration free output light beams; and directing the multiple output beams by an optical beam directing entity, toward multiple detector arrays.
