    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling that may identify a configuration for channel state information reporting associated with both a first target block error rate and a second target block error rate. The UE may receive one or more reference signals associated with the channel state information reporting. Further, the UE may transmit, to the base station, the channel state information reporting that may include first channel state information for the first target block error rate and second channel state information for the second target block error rate. In some examples, each of the first channel state information and the second channel state information may be based on the received reference signals.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may be configured to receive a first configuration indicating for the UE to communicate with the base station using a set of receive ports. The UE may transmit, according to the first configuration in a first time interval associated with a first power state of the UE, sounding reference signals (SRSs) on a set of transmit ports corresponding to the set of receive ports. The UE may then communicate using less than all of the set of transmit ports for the SRSs based on determining to operate in a reduced power state. The UE may then receive, based on communicating using less than all of the set of transmit ports for the SRSs, a second configuration indicating for the UE to communicate with the base station using a first subset of receive ports.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a beam switching capability for a subcarrier spacing for communications between the UE and a base station. In one example, the beam switching capability may indicate a quantity of beam switches for a plurality of slots of a transmission time interval. In another example, the capability may indicate a threshold quantity of symbol periods between beam switching operations associated with the subcarrier spacing, or a beam switching time for the subcarrier spacing, or both. The UE may determine, for the identified beam switching capability, one or more parameter values that indicate the identified beam switching capability. The parameters may explicitly or implicitly indicate the identified capability. The UE may also transmit the determined one or more parameter values to the base station and communicate with the base station according to the identified beam switching capability.

The UE may provide one or more expected future locations based on routing information of the UE, a polygon associated with one or more current or future UE locations, a waypoint set of the UE, and the like. Based on the provided one or more future locations, the edge data network may provide to the UE one or more edge data network configurations for different UE locations. As the UE moves to different locations, different edge data network configurations may be used, thereby enhancing efficiency of UE operation in the edge data network.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may support two different modes of operation (e.g., a normal transmission efficiency mode, a high transmission efficiency mode, etc.) either controlled by a network or the UE. The UE may transmit an indication of a capability of supporting the different modes of operation, where the network or the UE determine to use which mode of operation to use based on the transmitted capability. For example, the network may transmit an explicit indication of which mode of operation for the UE to use and/or may transmit an indication of the modes of operation, where the UE determines which mode of operation to use after receiving the indication.     Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems (e.g., millimeter wave (mmW) systems) may support user equipment (UEs) operating in a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. A UE, in these wireless communications systems, may receive signaling configuring the UE with a set of wakeup grouping sets. Each of the set of wakeup grouping sets may identify a set of groups of one or more UEs. The UE may subsequently receive a wakeup signal during a monitoring occasion for wakeup signals, and determine that the received wakeup signal indicates a group in a wakeup grouping set of the set of wakeup grouping sets that includes the UE. In response, the UE may initiate a wakeup procedure.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support uplink reporting techniques for multi transmission-reception point (TRP) transmissions. Various reporting configurations may be provided that allow for user equipment (UE) communications via multiple concurrent wireless connections with multiple TRPs. A UE may identify a reporting configuration and transmit a report (e.g., a buffer status report (BSR) or a power headroom report (PHR)) to one or more of the TRPs based on the identified reporting configuration. The multiple TRPs may have non-ideal backhaul connections and the reporting configuration may allow the UE to transmit separate reports to different TRPs. The different TRPs may then use the separate reports for corresponding communications with the UE. In cases where shared radio frequency spectrum is used for communications, a single channel access priority class (CAPC) for multiple TRPs may be determined for a contention-based channel access procedure.

    Abstract: A base station may identify an association between a set of physical cell identifiers (PCIs) identifying different transmission reception points (TRPs) and a set of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for a user equipment (UE). The base station may transmit a TCI state and PCI association indication to the UE. The UE may receive a downlink transmission using a receive beam associated with a TCI state, and may identify a PCI of the set of PCIs to use to decode the received downlink transmission. In cases where the TCI state used to receive the downlink transmission is associated with multiple PCIs, the UE may select a default PCI from the multiple PCIs, and may decode the received transmission accordingly. In some examples, the UE may receive reference signals from one or more of the serving TRPs and may identify a PCI to use to decode the received reference signals.
