A cable connector is provided for coupling to and mounted within the internal cavity of an electrical box for securing an electrical cable passing through an opening in the electrical box. The cable connector includes a housing having a first end positioned next to or adjacent the cable opening in the electrical box and a second end spaced from the first end and the cable opening. At least one and typically two cable retaining members are positioned in the cable opening of the housing between the front wall and the rear wall. The cable retainer has a body with a plurality of retaining arms extending into an axial passage of the body for gripping the outer surface of a cable.

A bracket assembly for connecting a fixture, art-work or other element to a supporting box or structure. The assembly includes a hanger bracket which receives an adjustable post. The bracket may also support quick-connect wire plug-ins for ease in performing wire connections required to operate a fixture such as a chandelier. The adjustable post has spaced recesses that allow for quick coarse adjustment of the post as it passes at an angle through a central interior opening in the hanger bracket. The post is pivoted so that a reinforced rail on the hanger bracket is inserted into a pair of the recesses formed on the post in a snap-fit connection. A threaded portion is also provided at an end of the post for fine adjustment.

The invention relates to an electrical apparatus (1) to be installed on a wall, comprising: - a support part which is designed to be fixed to the wall and which comprises at least one electric box (80), - an electric unit (50) comprising at least a base (51) which houses an electric mechanism (52) and which is equipped with at least one clip-fastening tab (60) designed to be clipped onto said support part, and - a front part (10, 30) comprising a front wall (11) and at least one tongue (20) which extends to the rear of said front wall so as to fix it to the electric unit. According to the invention, this tongue is designed to fit in between said clip-fastening tab and a rigid part of the base of the electric unit.

L'invention concerne un module d'appareillage (30) à engager dans une boîte électrique (50), comportant; un boîtier (31 ) en matériau isolant qui délimite un espace intérieur de réception d'un mécanisme électrique (32), et au moins un moyen d'encliquetage (40) pour la fixation du boîtier dans la boîte électrique, qui comprend une partie d'accrochage (42) adaptée à s'accrocher à ladite boîte électrique, une patte qui porte ladite partie d'accrochage et qui est flexible entre une position de repos et une position déformée, et des moyens de manœuvre (43) de ladite patte pour la déplacer en position déformée. Selon l'invention, il est prévu des moyens de retenue adaptés à retenir ladite patte en position déformée.

An electrical assembly having a support, a mounting member and an electrical device attached to the mounting member and the support. The mounting member is a one piece integrally formed unit having an interior cavity for receiving electrical wires from the power source and supplying the electrical wires to the electrical device. The mounting member has a coupling at a first end of the mounting member with internal threads having an annular recess receiving a seal member for forming a weatherproof seal with the support while allowing limited rotational adjustment of the mounting member with the support and maintaining the weatherproof seal. The mounting member has a second end with a coupling having external threads complementing the internal threads of the first coupling to enable a plurality of the mounting members to be coupled together and forming a weatherproof connection between the adjacent mounting members.

The present invention relates to a socket box. The socket box includes a base, a socket insert, a facia insert and an internal electrically conductive substrate. The socket insert comprises a body having an upper surface and a lower surface, wherein the upper surface is provided with a plurality of apertures which are sized and spaced so as to receive the pins of an electrical plug, and wherein further the lower surface is provided with a plurality of sprung electrical contacts. The socket insert and electrically conductive substrate are supported and held in spaced relationship to one another by the facia insert such that the sprung electrical contacts are compressed against the electrically conductive substrate, and wherein further the facia insert in turn is supported by the base.
