Abstract:
A thermosetting composition comprising a hydroxylated resin, a hydrolyzable silyl compound polymer, a hydrolyzable silicon compound, and a curing catalyst gives a coating material free from the problem of malodor, and a coating film prepared therefrom is improved in adhesion, solvent resistance and hardness.

1,2-dichlorodisilanes are reacted with organometallic derivatives of 1,2-diethynyldisilane to yield the copolymer of formula (I), where R and R' are alkyl or aryl groups having carbon atoms numbering less than ten.
Abstract:
1,2-dichlorodisilanes are reacted with the diGrignard reagents of 1,2-diethynyldisilane to yield the eight-membered ring disilanylene acetylenes of the formula: where R=an alkyl group, and R'=an alkyl group or an aromatic group.
Abstract:
A heat-resistant multijunction semiconductor device comprising a p-layer, a n-layer and a diffusion-blocking layer (3), the diffusion-blocking layer being provided between the p-layer and the n-layer. The semi-conductor device can reduce the fall-down of quality which is caused by the diffusion of dopant atoms in the p-layer and n-layer, respectively, into the other layer.
Abstract:
Soft magnetic material composition composed of 70 to 95% by weight of powdery soft magnetic material and the balance of a liquid thermosetting resin. A high magnetic permeability molding having a high density and a large initial magnetic permeability and being excellent in strength and dimensional accuracy can be obtained with a good producibility according to the method of this invention.
Abstract:
A multipolar anisotropic resin magnet, which is made by molding a composition with a magnetic field applied thereto, which composition consists of magnetoplumbite type ferrite in the form of pressed powder as magnetic powder having a density of not less than 3.1 g/cm3 and an intrinsic coercive force of not more than 2500 Oe, and an organic binder; solidifying the resultant molded product to obtain an anisotropic resin magnet; and subjecting this anisotropic resin magnet to the multipolar magnetization. According to the present invention, a rotor of an anisotropic resin magnet having a large field value of a multipolar magnetized surface can be obtained.
Abstract:
Lightweight-concrete roofing tiles made by molding a hydraulic binder composition containing synthetic resin foams as the aggregate and having a specific gravity of about 1.6 to 2. A preferably example of the aggregate is beads of the resin foams having an average particle size of about 2 mm or less, while a suitable example of the foams is polystyrene foams.
Abstract:
A rubber latex prepared by adding to 100 parts by weight (on a solid basis) of a rubber latex (B) 0.1 to 15 parts by weight (on a dry basis) of an acid radical-containing latex (A) having an average particle diameter in the range of from 50 to 500 nm and prepared by polymerizing a monomer mixture composed of 5 to 25 % by weight of at least one unsaturated acid (a) selected from among acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, itaconic acid, and crotonic acid, 20 to 95 % by weight of at least one alkyl methacrylate (b) wherein the alkyl group has 1 to 12 carbon atoms, 0 to 30 % by weight of at least one alkyl acrylate (c) wherein the alkyl group has 1 to 12 carbon atoms, and 0 to 40 % by weight of at least one monomer (d) selected from the group consisting of aromatic vinyl compounds copolymerizable with the components (a), (b), and (c), compounds each having two or more polymerizable functional groups in its molecule, and vinyl cyanide (the total amount of the components (a), (b), (c) and (d) being 10 % by weight), and effecting the aggregation and enlargement of the latex particles. A graft copolymer prepared using the rubber latex and a thermoplastic resin composition containing the graft copolymer are also provided. No significant formation of lumps occurs during the preparation of the acid radical-containing latex and the step of enlargement. The thermoplastic resin composition containing the graft copolymer prepared using the rubber latex is excellent particularly in impact resistance and, further, has good heat resistance and moldability.
Abstract:
A hollow yarn membrane integrating module constructed such that air bubbles diffused in liquid to be treated effectively oscillate a hollow yarn membrane, that a hollow yarn membrane is made difficult to be cut, that the effective member area is large, that it can endure back washing and that simple fabrication is provided. Two or more hollow yarn membrane units each comprising a multiplicity of bundled hollow yarn membranes are arranged in straight, two or more lines each comprising the units so arranged are disposed in parallel to each other, filtrate passages of the respective units are made to communicate with each other, one or more air diffusing holes are formed between the lines of the hollow yarn membrane units in the vicinity thereof, these air diffusing holes are arranged in straight, the respective air diffusing holes are made to communicate with each other via the air passages, all the constituent elements are integrated into an integrally formed plate, and one or more filtrate outlets and air inlets are formed in this integrated unit.
