The present invention proposes a device constitution that can reliably carry out refinement of magnetic domains by high-energy beam irradiation with a laser, electron beam, or the like even when the rate of movement of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet changes. This device to improve iron loss properties scans a high energy beam across the feed path of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet for which final annealing has been completed and irradiates the steel sheet surface with the high energy beam as the sheet moves, refining the magnetic domains. In this device, an irradiation mechanism for scanning the high energy beam in a direction perpendicular to the feed direction of the steel sheet is provided with a function for orienting the scanning direction such that the perpendicular direction is inclined to the feed direction at an angle based on the rate of movement of the steel sheet along the feed path.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a hot rolled high tensile strength steel sheet which does not undergo local buckling when formed into a steel pipe or tube and deformed by bending, shows excellent deformation characteristics after being formed into a pipe or tube, and is appropriately usable as line pipes and oil well pipes or tubes. The constitution of the present invention is a composition comprising, in mass%, 0.04-0.08% of C, not more than 0.50% of Si, 0.8-2.2% of Mn, not more than 0.02% of P, not more than 0.006% of S, not more than 0.1% of Al, not more than 0.008% of N, 0.05-0.8% of Cr, 0.01-0.08% of Nb, 0.001-0.12% of V, and 0.005-0.04% of Ti, wherein the contents of Nb, V and Ti are controlled so as to satisfy a definite requirement, with the balance made up of Fe and incidental impurities, characterized in that a surface layer has a structure comprising bainite as a primary phase, 0.5-4% by volume of martensite as a secondary phase, and not more than 10% by volume in total of one or more members selected from among a ferrite phase, pearlite and cementite as a tertiary phase.

According to the present invention, a high-strength steel sheet which has a high tensile strength (TS) of 980MPa or higher and which stably exhibits excellent bendability over the whole of the sheet can be obtained. This high-strength steel sheet has a prescribed steel composition and a structure wherein: the average ferrite grain diameter is 10μm or less; the volume fraction of ferrite is 30 to 70%; the total volume fraction of martensite and retained austenite is 10% or less; and the ratio of pairs of adjacent phases such that the nano-hardness difference between the adjacent phases of each pair is 4GPa or smaller is 90% or more.

The present invention addresses a problem of providing a measuring device which can accurately determine the amount of hydrogen that has penetrated into a metal with the progress of corrosion, while taking account of any change of anode-side residual current accompanying a change in the temperature of the environment. One surface of a specimen constituted of a metallic material is used as a hydrogen penetration surface, which is exposed to a corrosive environment and into which the hydrogen that is evolved by a corrosion reaction penetrates, and the other surface is used as a hydrogen detection surface. An electrochemical cell set configured of a plurality of cells is disposed on the hydrogen detection surface. An aqueous electrolyte solution having a pH of 9-13 is packed into each of the cells, and a reference electrode and a counter electrode that are independent of each other are disposed therein. At least one of the cells is used as a standard cell for correcting residual current, and a protective film for avoiding contact with the corrosive environment is disposed in the area of the hydrogen penetration surface which corresponds to the hydrogen detection area for the standard cell. The anode current value detected with each cell other than the standard cell is corrected with the value of residual current detected with the standard cell. On the basis of the corrected anode current value, the amount of hydrogen that has penetrated from the corrosion-surface side is calculated.

A grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having a chemical composition containing, in % by mass, 0.005% or less of C, 2.0 to 4.5% of Si and 0.5% or less of Mn, and also containing, in % by mass, Sb and P in such amounts that the formulae 0.01% ≤ [%Sb] ≤ 0.20% and 0.02% ≤ [%P] ≤ 2.0×[%Sb] can be satisfied, with the remainder made up by Fe and unavoidable impurities. The grain-oriented electrical steel sheet has a magnetization force (TD-H10) and an iron loss (TD-W10) of 200 A/m or more and 1.60 W/kg or more, respectively, when the grain-oriented electrical steel sheet is excited to 1.0 T at 50 Hz in a direction orthogonal to the rolling direction. By employing this configuration, it becomes possible to produce a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having excellent trans iron loss steadily on an industrial scale at low cost.
