Abstract:
A refuse collection apparatus comprises a receptacle 15 into which articles of refuse can be deposited via a chute 13. Sensors 2a, 4a, 2b, 4b detect when an article is deposited and activate a display 3 so as to display a game, either by displaying the results of the game or by displaying a game which can be interacted with. The result of the game determines whether a prize has been won which is indicated to the user. Further screens 11 are provided on the apparatus to provide advertising space, the screens 11 being interactive and providing access to information about the products and services advertised.

Abstract:
An apparatus for dispensing refrigerating elements enabling users to avoid breaking the cold chain when buying fresh and frozen produce. The apparatus (101) for dispensing refrigerating elements (11) includes a housing (102) with an inlet (104) in the upper portion (129) thereof for inserting a refrigerating element (11) to be recycled, and an outlet (105) in the lower portion (128) of the housing for dispensing a refrigerating element (11) loaded with negative kilocalories, and at least one refrigerated storage unit (107) provided with a helical storage and guide rail (108) extending substantially between the two portions (128, 129) so that the refrigerating elements (11) move down into the lower portion (128) during storage. A cleaning device (112) for cleaning the refrigerating elements (11) to be recycled comprises rotary brushes (113) that urge said elements from the inlet (104) towards the storage unit (107). Similarly, an actuator (121) is provided for urging a refrigerating element (11) loaded with negative kilocalories from the storage unit (107) towards the outlet (105). The apparatus is particularly useful for dispensing foods.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a dedicated electronic catalogue device (150) and a dedicated system for providing goods/services ordered by the electronic catalogue device (150) from a remote location. Each electronic catalogue device (150) in the system stores in memory (400) a product catalogue database which can be accessed by a user by actuation of appropriate input means (500), for the user to select a particular product to be provided by a service provider. A host device (300) at the location of the service provider communicates with the electronic catalogue device (150) and obtains transaction information relating to the user's order. The service provider then fills the order and provides the appropriate product. The dedicated electronic catalogue devices (150) can be provided at any convenient location such as a public location, for example. Any product is available which can be supplied by the service provider. The catalogue can be updated remotely from the host (300) to update product information.
Abstract:
The selector of tokens for the operation of machines comprises a box having an upper casing wherein is fixed a ramp having a mouth connected to a conveyor belt actuated by means of a motor, a light pipe being provided on the ramp so as to allow the reader to recognize the token; there is provided in the upper part of the belt a start-up contactor and the ramp for ejecting or storing the tokens which have not been admitted, a container being provided for the storage of admitted tokens.
Abstract:
Collection units for depositing refuse material (19a) are provided for the public in a manner known per se, said units having means of access in the form of an opening (4a). According to the invention, said units are provided with: (a) means (4a, 25, 26, 27, 28) for identifying, at least roughly, a refuse article placed by, or introduced into said opening; (b) means (24) for conveying the refuse article beyond the opening and (c) means (33) for issuing proof of deposit (22a), such as a gift voucher, controlled by said identification means optionally combined with said conveying means.
Abstract:
An automatic dispensing and recording system is disclosed for dispensing keys and beverages. The system comprises a vending unit (10) which supports the articles (30) and has a card reader (14) for receiving a credit card or token (16) to operate the vending unit. A computer (150-200) is coupled to the card reader for recording data on the card presented to the card reader (14) to identify a user and for billing purposes. Upon detection of valid data on the card and upon detection of the article (30) by a detector (52) a door (24, 106, 108) is opened to allow the article to be taken by a user. If valid information on the article is not read by the detector (52) the door (24, 106, 108) is not opened. A return facility comprising a door (130) which has a sensor (132) for detecting the article and which opens the door upon detection of the article is provided. The door (130) leads to a compartment (136) and after the door (130) is closed a further detector (144) detects the article in the secure environment and if detected opens a further door (142) to allow the article to drop to a storage area (134).
Abstract:
The subject of the invention is a device for self-service exchange of cylinders, in particular, gas cylinders, characteristic by the fact that it comprises:n unilaterally opened boxes (2) for a cylinder, arranged in such a manner that the open walls of the boxes (2) are substantially in one plane, with n being greater than or equal to 2,at least one sliding door (3), preferably n-1 sliding doors (3), with a size allowing at least one box (2) to be closed and slide-mounted, so that opening one box (2) by sliding the door (3) causes the closing of another box (2), anda key lock (4)(5), which in the open position allows a closed box (2) to be opened by sliding the door (3), and in the closed position prevents the door (3) from moving by a distance allowing access to the box (2).
Abstract:
