Abstract:
A gateway device of a mobile packet core network matches (S31) data packets flowing to/from the mobile packet core network, using a filter, and terminates (S33) a session in accordance with an action for the filter when a data packet of the session, which flows to/from the mobile packet core network, matches the filter (S32).
Abstract:
A service indication mechanism is described for use by IP Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, codes (201, 204) of an IMS network (106) in routing a terminating call in a network comprising a circuit switched, CS, network (107) and an IMS network (105, 106). On receipt of a Service Initiation Protocol, SIP, message from a second IMS node (202), the SIP message including a called user number associated with the call (A1), a SIP Uniform Resource Identifier, URI, and the call services for the called user from a user profile database is retrieved (A2). A second SIP URI is generated by including a service indicator of the called user in the received SIP URI, the service indicator representing the call services of the called user (A3), the SIP message is transmitted with the second SIP-URI to a third IMS node (204). On receiving the transmitted SIP message, the third IMS node (204) detects whether the service indicator is included in the SIP URI, and applies the service indicator to a plurality of policy rules for indicating whether the terminating call should be routed to the CS network (107) and whether to suppress insertion of a prefix to a CS routing number of the called user. The third IMS node (204) transmits to a CS node (206) a SIP message including the CS routing number without the prefix when a routing policy rule associated with the service indicator indicates suppression of the prefix (B5).
Abstract:
Provided are a method and an apparatus for confirming the validity of a candidate cooperative device list for client cooperation in a wireless communication system. A base station searches for at least one candidate cooperation device for a source device, then an effective period timer, for an effective time command list for a list of candidate cooperation devices for a source device, is initiated, and a determination is made as to whether the list of candidate cooperation devices is valid. The base station and the source device are connected through a first system, and the base station and one recommended candidate cooperation device selected from the list of candidate cooperation devices are connected through a second system.
Abstract:
Provided are a connection setting method and apparatus for client cooperation in a wireless communication system. A base station and a source device search for at least one candidate cooperation device for the source device. The base station determines whether a list of candidate cooperation devices for the source device is valid. The source device is connected to a recommended candidate cooperation device selected from the list of candidate cooperation devices. At this stage, the base station and the source device are connected through a first system, and the base station and the recommended candidate cooperation device are connected through a second system.
Abstract:
In the present invention, a method for a user equipment transmitting/receiving a signal with a network in a wireless communication system is disclosed. More particularly, the method comprises the following steps: receiving security setting information from the network; transmitting or receiving data with the network based on the security setting information; receiving a disconnection message from the network; releasing connection from the network; and actuating a timer when an indicator for maintaining the security setting is received from the network, wherein the security setting information is maintained while the timer is actuated.
Abstract:
A method, system and device are provided for managing LIPA and/or SIPTO connection releases by providing predetermined context information in either the context request message or response thereto exchanged between source and target Mobility Management Entity (MME) devices to allow the appropriate MME device to determine if LIPA service continuity is provided or not.
Abstract:
A session control method includes establishing a locationing session (401) between a mobile device (102) and a remotely located server (106) over a network (104), sending information related to the geographical location of the mobile device (102) to the remotely located server (106) after establishing the locationing session (401), and providing two or more notifications (414, 432) via the mobile device (102), at predetermined intervals or in response to an event, that the locationing session is active. The user may then validate or invalidate (430) the active session, thereby providing greater control of such information. Additional configuration options are provided to the user in order to control the nature and distribution of such locationing data.
Abstract:
Systems and methodologies are described that that facilitate resource reclamation in a wireless communications system having a disjoint serving sector configuration. A mobile device can report activity on a communication link (e.g., forward link or reverse link) to a serving sector that provides a corresponding communication link. For instance, forward link activity can be reported to a reverse link serving sector and/or reverse link activity can be reported to a forward link serving sector. The activity can be analyzed to ascertain overall activity of a mobile device. Based upon the analysis, a serving sector can de-allocate resources to the mobile device.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a host, and a communications control module. The communications control module exchanges information with a communications network, such as a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) network. The host determines whether a termination condition exists. Based on this determination, the communications control module performs a signaling connection release indication procedure when a termination condition exists.
