Reibungskupplung mit einem Gehäuse und einer mit diesem drehfest, jedoch axial begrenzt verlagerbar verbundenen Anpressplatte, wobei zwischen Gehäuse und Λnpressplatte eine verschwenkbare Hebelanordnung vorgesehen ist, mittels derer die Anpressplatte zum Ein -und Ausrücken der Reibungskupplung betätigbar ist, die Hebelanordnung eine Mehrzahl von ringartig um die Rotationsachse der Reibungskupplung angeordneten Hebelelement umfasst, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein ringartiges Bauteil (23) mit der Hebelanordnung (8) derart in Wirkverbindung steht, dass es durch Verschwenkung der Hebelanordnung eine radiale Aufweitung und Verkleinerung erfahren kann, wobei das ringartige Bauteil zwei Endbereiche besitzt, von denen der eine gegenüber der Hebelanordnung zumindest in Umfangsrichtung fest ist und der andere während einer Aufweitung und Verkleinerung des ringartigen Bauteils eine in Wesentlichen lineare Bewegung erfährt, mittels der eine Betätigung einer die Hebelanordnung verdrehenden Verstelleinrichtung auslösbar ist.

The invention relates to a clutch unit for transmitting torque between an engine and a transmission, equipped with at least one friction clutch, particularly for motor vehicles, with a pressure plate mounted inside a housing whereby being able to be displaced in a rotationally fixed but axially limited manner. A disc spring works between the housing and the pressure plate and enables the pressure plate to be pressed toward a clutch disc, which has friction linings and which can be squeezed between the pressure plate and a counter pressure plate. The clutch can be engaged and disengaged via actuating means and is additionally equipped with an adjusting device that automatically compensates for the wear of at least one of the friction linings of the clutch disc.

The invention concerns a friction clutch for a heat engine motor vehicle, comprising a reaction plate (13), a friction disc (14), a pressure plate (12), a cover (11), the pressure plate (12) consisting of two half-plates (12A, 12B) integral in rotation with the input shaft but axially mobile, relative to each other, under the action of a device compensating play due to wear which comprises a pair of complementary ramps (17, 18) circumferentially arranged, axially associated respectively with each of the half-plates (12A, 12B), one of the ramps (17) called support ramp being integral in rotation to one (12B) of the half-plates, the other ramp (18) called adjustment ramp, being adapted to move circumferentially relative to the support ramp (17) in the direction increasing the global thickness of the first plate (12), called compensating direction, and prevented from moving in the other direction by one-way means (24), said circumferential movement being controlled by a tripping element (22) sensitive to wear condition, the adjusting ramp (18) being arranged at the periphery of an inertia piece (12A), so that the cyclic variations in the heat engine of the motor vehicle are used to cause the matching ramps to move relatively along the circumference in the wear compensating direction: control means (30) are adapted to monitor the wear compensating device by enabling it to operate or preventing it from doing so.

The clutch actuactor (26, 28) includes an assist spring (202) for reducing the amount of motor torque required for operating the clutch actuator. The invention concerns a friction clutch (10), in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising an adjusting ring (36) pertaining to a wear take-up device with ramps which is axially inserted between the clutching means (24) and the pressure plate. The invention is characterised in that at least an elastic catch (56) is provided borne by the pressure plate (30) permanently urging the adjusting ring (36) axially from the rear frontwards towards the pressure plate (30), to maintain the ramps (44, 46) of the device in mutual contact.

An actuator for a power transmitting friction clutch having a rotatable power input originating in a flywheel (10), a pressure plate (14) rotatable with the power input, and an output connected friction disc assembly (16) between the pressure plate and the flywheel. The actuator comprises a diaphragm (22) having an outer annulus (21) defining a negative Belleville spring (21) and a plurality of radial control fingers (25) extending inwardly from the outer annulus, the outer annulus having an outer periphery engageable with the pressure plate and an inner fulcrum edge, and a reaction means opposing force exerted by the negative Belleville spring on the pressure plate. The reaction means consists essentially of positive spring means (30) connected to the flywheel and supporting the inner fulcrum edge of the outer annulus of the diaphragm so that absolute values of force between the negative Belleville spring and the pressure plate and force exerted between the negative Belleville spring and the positive spring means remain substantially equal during actuation of the clutch. Compensating springs (26) are provided for shifting the range of deflection of at least one of the negative Belleville spring and the positive spring as the thickness of the friction disc assembly is reduced by wear.
