    摘要: Methods and apparatus permit a one-way downloadable security for electronic signals such as cable television, free-to-air, direct broadcast satellite, electronic device enablement, and other services. The system can allow a broadcast transmission capability (1) to provide an encrypted signal to an individual reception capability (2) in a manner that maintains the full security of a traditional decryption key process while completely eliminating any need for a trusted authority. By including a nascent decryption key generator that may create a secure, key-based environment from an unsecure individualized information transmission (12), a sequence of key(s) from a root key(s) to a derived key(s) to a temporary key(s) and ultimately to a fully random key(s) can be generated in activating a device or a decryption capability for a subscriber.

    摘要: GPS system for both generating and receiving multiple differential corrections from a single broadcast transmission may involve FM subcarrier modulations at any carrier frequency or subcarrier offset to provide multiple differential correction signals having varying accuracy. Signals may be generated by a subcarrier generator (32) and may be adjusted by some encryption means (18) and then accepted by some enablement means (17) including a controllable address signal so as to be provided on a subscription basis. Subcarrier transmissions are provided for in overlapping manner for redundancy and with either separate or interleaved differential signals so as to be able to both broadcast differential corrections and informational signals using existing equipment and FM stations at any available offset with both uplink and downlink capabilities through a variety of capabilities including a modem (38) or a satellite dish (39). Similarly at least one FM receiver (10) component is included within a traditional GPS receiver (9) to simultaneously receive, scan, locate, and compare differential signals for more accurate determination of location in a reliable and optimum manner and at differing locations.

    摘要: Discrete bodies of glass-forming raw materials are formed by agglomerating techniques such as briquetting. These bodies are preheated or prereacted using waste heat from the fusion furnace. The hot glass bodies are charged to a refractory hearth heated to a temperature substantially above the temperature at which the glass product becomes fluid. The discrete bodies absorb heat, form a liquid phase and lose their morphology. The hearth is structured so that the liquid phase flows through it in a thin layer entraining any unreacted/unmelted material. As the molten material flows it is further heated and the reaction is completed. Molten glass product can be drawn from the hearth in a surprisingly short time after charging the heated discrete bodies to the hearth.
