Abstract:
The invention relates to a solid support suitable for supporting endothelial cell growth which has one or more regions of microstructure incorporated onto the growing surface thereof as well as to such supports having endothelial cells attached thereto. The invention further relates to methods of culturing endothelial cells and directing tubule formation using these supports.
Abstract:
The invention relates to sulfonamide derivatives, to their use in medicine, to compositions containing them, to processes for their preparation and to intermediates used in such processes. More particularly the invention relates to a new sulfonamide Nav1.7 inhibitors of formula (I): or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, wherein X, Ar 1 , R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 and R 5 are as defined in the description. Nav 1.7 inhibitors are potentially useful in the treatment of a wide range of disorders, particularly pain.
Abstract:
The present invention relates in part to nicotine-derived hapten-carrier conjugates of the formula (III): wherein m, n, W, -(spacer)-, X* and Y are as defined in the description. In certain embodiments, said nicotine-derived hapten-carrier conjugates can be used to prepare vaccines for the treatment and/or prevention of nicotine addiction.
Abstract:
The present application is concerned with a fabric for use in high visibility personal protection clothing. The present application proposes that a yarn (16, 18) capable of being dyed to a high visibility colour and a non- fusible yarn (14) are combined in a single fabric so as to provide a fabric which not only has heat and flame resistance but can also be dyed to high visibility colours. In particular, a fabric comprising a flame retardant dyeable yarn (16, 18) and a non- fusible fibre yarn (14), wherein the yarns form a double faced fabric is disclosed. In embodiments, the fabric is a double faced weave wherein the flame retardant yarn is a flame retardant polyester and the non -fusible yarn is an aramid yarn.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to the provision of immunogens comprising an antigenic IgE peptide preferably linked to an immunogenic carrier for the prevention, treatment or alleviation of IgE-mediated disorders. The invention further relates to methods for production of these medicaments, immunogenic compositions and pharmaceutical compositing thereof and their use in medicine.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a class of substituted triazoles of formula (I) with activity as oxytoci antagonists, uses thereof, processes for the preparation thereof and compositions containing sai inhibitors. These inhibitors have utility in a variety of therapeutic areas including sexual dysfunction particularly premature ejaculation (P.E.).
Abstract:
Optical networks as defined by the IEEE 802.3ah standard suffer from Stimulated Raman Scattering (SRS) that causes data transmission at a first optical wavelength to interfere with broadcast video transmission at a second optical wavelength in single mode optical fibers. The problem is exacerbated when data is not being transmitted across the network; and instead, an idle pattern transmission is being transmitted in order to keep the network synchronized. The repetitive nature of the idle pattern transmission leads to the SRS optical interference effect. This optical interference effect is mitigated when countermeasures are implemented to modify the idle pattern transmissions or to transmit random data in place of the idle pattern transmissions.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a class of compounds of general formula (I) and the salts, hydrates, solvates, polymorphs and prodrugs wherein n, R 6 , R 7 and R 10 are as defined herein and especially to MCR4 agonist compounds of formula (I), to their use in medicine, particularly in the treatment of sexual dysfunction and obesity, to intermediates useful in their synthesis and to compositions containing them.
