    Abstract: In a device for changing winding rollers (2) in machines for winding material webs (4), especially paper or cardboard webs, on sleeves, it is known to apply double-sided adhesive strips (31, 34) to the web (4) in order to secure the start of the web to a new sleeve and/or the end of the web to a full winding roller (3). According to the invention, the adhesive strips (31, 34) are first applied to a transfer device (transfer roller 21) displaceable against the web (4) with a weaker adhesive force than on the material web (4), and then the transfer device (transfer roller 21) is moved against the web (4) and the adhesive strips (31, 34) are transferred thereto.

    Abstract: In order to roll up paper or cardboard webs, reelers with two king rolls (1, 2) are known, in which the web (5) is deflected by one king roll (1) and is guided upwardly through the gap between the king rolls (1, 2). In order to replace the reels (4), the known reelers have, besides a device for severing the web (5), a device for stopping the web (5) that can be raised through the gap between the king rolls (1, 2) and put against the reeled king roll. According to the invention, a raisable and lowerable support (12) that extends over the whole working width is arranged below the gap between the king rolls and carries at its upper and lower ends freely rotatable deflection pulleys (14, 16) around which revolves at least one elastic belt (17). The upper deflection pulleys (14) can be moved into the gap between the king rolls and the lower deflection pulleys (16) are so arranged that during raising a strand (17.1) of the belt (17) lies flatly on the king roll (1) around which the web (5) is reeled.

    Abstract: Machines for winding continuous strips of material (5) on spools (6) exist which have two support rollers (1, 2) against which the winding rollers (4) rest during winding, the strip of material (5) being fed from below through the gap between the support rollers (1, 2) so that it passes round part of one support roller (1). When the winding rollers are changed, a cutter (14) with a cutter blade (15) is moved upwards through the support-roller gap into the roller bed (3) in order to cut off the strip of material (5). In order to reduce the weight of the winding rollers (4) resting on the support rollers (1, 2), an air chamber (8) with a compressed-air supply (9) is located in the lower angle between the two support rollers (1, 2). The air chamber (8) extends over the whole working width of the rollers, sealing off the gap between the support rollers (1, 2), and has an air-outlet slit (11) allowing air to pass into the gap. The invention calls for the cutter blade (15) to be mounted on a support rod (18) which is located in the air chamber (8) and can be raised and lowered, thus raising the cutter blade (15) through the air-outlet slit (11) into its cutting position in the roller bed (3) and completely retracting it into the air chamber (8).

    Abstract: For winding material webs (6), especially paper or cardboard webs, king roll machines are known having two driven king rolls (1, 2) between which is formed a nip (3) into which the material web (6) is deflected and guided from below by the input king roll (1). In order to lift fully-wound rolls (4) from the input king roll (1) and eject them from the nip (3), according to the invention an ejector beam (9) with an ejection surface (13) extending radially to the input king roll (1) is fitted to pivot about the input king roll (1) towards the nip (3). The ejection surface (13) terminates at a distance from the king roll (1). In the free space between the ejection surface (13) and the king roll a lifting roll pivotable with the ejection beam (9) is fitted to pivot in the same direction as the king roll (1), the periphery of which projects slightly in relation to the ejection surface (13), so that small-diameter winding rolls (4) can be lifted without contact with the ejection surface (13) to ensure trouble-free rotation before ejection.

    Abstract: The known king roll reeling machines for shaftless winding of a web of material (4) divided by a lengthwise cut, in particular a web of paper of cardboard, onto sleeves (11) have take-up rollers (6) which are applied during take-up to two king rolls (2, 3) and are supported by guide heads (10) which can be inserted sideways into the sleeves of the two outer take-up rollers (6).
