    Abstract: The invention concerns a process for the production of a powdered pulmonary surfactant preparation containing a hydrophobic protein serving as a pulmonary surfactant characterized by the fact that an organic solution or suspension containing a hydrophobic protein serving as a pulmonary surfactant and possibly other components is subject to spray drying.
