Abstract:
A machine for concurrently exercising one or more of a user's muscle groups, the machine having a base having front and back ends, one or more linear slide rails, a user support and an engagement member for the user's hands or feet. The user support slides while pivoting during the exercise motion such that the location and angle of the user support is dictated by the linkage mechanism that positions and connects the user support relative to the other parts of the machine. The user support can be caused to move by the engagement member being acted upon by the user's feet only, by the user's hands only or a combination of the user's feet and hands concurrently during the exercise.
Abstract:
An exercise treadmill having an endless moveable surface looped around rollers or pulleys to form an upper run and a lower run, the movable surface being rotated when one of the rollers or pulleys is rotated, and an exercise surface for walking or running while exercising, a weight resistance mechanism for providing a weight resistance for simulating the dragging or pulling of a load, wherein the weight resistance can be adjusted and set to a specific weight resistance setting; a hand controller operatively attached to the weight resistance mechanism for operating and controlling the exercise treadmill and the weight resistance mechanism, wherein the endless movable surface moves in a direction simulating walking or running backwards, and wherein the weight resistance mechanism applies an approximately constant and static force to the hand controller generally only in the same as the direction the endless movable surface moves and opposite a pulling direction, whereby operation of the treadmill simulates the dragging or pulling of a load by a combination of the actuation of the weight resistance mechanism to simulate the load and the walking or running backwards to provide the dragging or pulling action.
Abstract:
An exercise treadmill having an endless exercise surface for walking or running while exercising, a resistance mechanism for providing a resistance for simulating the pushing or pulling of a load, wherein the resistance can be adjusted and set to a specific resistance setting. A movable pushing and pulling means is or are operatively attached to the resistance mechanism to transfer the load to the user. The resistance mechanism applies a constant and static force to the pushing and pulling means only in the same direction the endless movable surface moves and opposite a pushing or pulling direction such that operating the treadmill simulates the pushing or pulling of a load by a combination of gripping and pushing or pulling and moving the pushing and pulling means forward or backwards while walking or running forward or backwards.
Abstract:
A mobile electronic communications device includes a housing, a memory, a data entry mechanism, a display for visual data, at least one wireless transceiver configured to transmit and receive electromagnetic signals conforming to a plurality of wireless signaling protocols, and a controller. The controller is communicatively connected to the memory, data entry mechanism, and display; and is configured to send and receive data using the at least one wireless transceiver. The controller detects available wireless networks using at least one of the plurality of wireless signaling protocols, compares network identifications of available wireless networks to a predetermined list of network identifications ordered by preference, establishes a wireless network connection with an available wireless network having a network identification corresponding to a most preferred network identification in the predetermined list of network identifications, and executes an authentication process in response to establishing the wireless network connection.
Abstract:
Improved devices and methods for gripping, supporting and releasing objects, which may be used with robotic arms, manipulators or vehicles, to hold, move or rotate objects in automated manufacturing, packaging, assembling and construction applications. The device comprises a body, an adapter flange for mounting an object gripper with an intake, a vacuum supply port, an airflow passageway configured to couple the intake to the vacuum supply port to define a substantially contiguous vacuum path, and an actuating system to open and close a breach in the substantially contiguous vacuum path. Admitting suction via the vacuum supply port while the breach is closed and the intake is in contact with the object produces a pressure gradient force having sufficient magnitude to support the object's weight in a gravitational field. Operating the actuating system to open the breach releases the object and preferably propels it away from the device.
Abstract:
An exercise treadmill having an endless exercise surface for walking or running while exercising, a resistance mechanism for providing a resistance for simulating the pushing of a load, wherein the resistance can be adjusted and set to a specific resistance setting. A movable pushing handle or handles is or are operatively attached to the resistance mechanism to transfer the load to the user. The resistance mechanism applies a constant and static force to the pushing handle(s) only in the same direction the endless movable surface moves and opposite a pushing direction such that operating the treadmill simulates the pushing of a load by a combination of gripping and pushing the pushing handle(s) forward while walking or running forward.
Abstract:
An exercise treadmill of the type having an endless moveable surface looped around rollers or pulleys to form an upper run and a lower run, the movable surface being rotated when one of the rollers or pulleys is rotated, an exercise surface on for walking or running while exercising, and a weight resistance means for simulating the dragging or pulling of a load, wherein the endless movable surface moves in a direction simulating walking or running backwards.
Abstract:
A machine for concurrently performing pressing motions with the hands and feet, the machine having a base having front and back ends, two or more user supports, at least one lower body user support with an engagement means for the user's feet and at least one upper body user support with an engagement means for the user's hands. The upper body user support and lower body user support move fore and aft on opposing ends of the base frame and at least one of the upper body user supports and at least one of the lower body user supports cooperate with one another to move in opposing fore and aft movement patterns during operation of the machine.

Abstract:
A machine for concurrently or independently performing pressing motions with the hands and feet, the machine having a base having front and back ends, two or more linear slide rails, a lower body user support with an engagement means for the user's feet and an upper body user support with an engagement means for the user's hands. The upper body user support and lower body user support slide on the linear rails that are located proximally on opposing ends of the base frame and the upper body user supports and the lower body user supports cooperate with one another to move in opposing converging and diverging sloping linear movement patterns during operation of the machine.
