Abstract:
Systems and methods for improving information delivery to mobile devices. In an exemplary method a trigger is generated at a mobile device based on an experienced event, the trigger is sent to a network server from the mobile device, a message including content being associated with the trigger is generated upon receipt of the trigger, the message is sent to the mobile device, the message is received at the mobile device from the server, and content included in the received message is displayed on a display of the mobile device.
Abstract:
A client application on a mobile handset that identifies a short message service (SMS) messages in a 411 format and extracts the caller identification information in the SMS message. The client application presents a query on the display or keypad of the mobile handset that allows the subscriber to automatically enter the extracted caller identification information into the contacts or caller information directory on the mobile device.
Abstract:
A method for computer numerically controlled processing may include receiving configurations for a fabrication in which a computer numerically controlled machine processes a material to achieve one or more designs. An analysis may be performed to determine whether a thermal event occurs during the fabrication. The analysis may include performing one or more of a time-variant simulation and a time-invariant simulation of the fabrication. The thermal event may include one or more regions of the material exhibiting an undesirable response to the electromagnetic energy delivered to the material. One or more outputs may be generated based on the result of the thermal verification. The outputs may include a visualization of the quantity of energy exposure across the material, an alert if a thermal event is determined to occur during the fabrication, and corrective actions for resolving potential thermal events.
Abstract:
System and method for determining whether an incoming call originates from inside or outside of a mobile carriers network and indicates the result to the subscriber. An example system performs a GTT (global title translation) on an incoming number to determine the hosting carrier of any mobile phone number. When the result matches the subscriber's carrier, the mobile device then indicates to the subscriber (i.e. mobile device) that the call is an "in network call." Results of the comparison are stored and used for later incoming calls. The stored results are refreshed every time or periodically.

Abstract:
Systems and method for determining if a network of a call page has been ported to another network. The mobile communications network associated with a received call page is determined based on caller identification (CID) included in the call page and information of local exchange codes and associated mobile carriers stored in local memory of the mobile device. The method determines if the mobile communications network associated with the received call page is valid with regard to an exceptions list. Next it is determined if the determined mobile communications network associated with the call page matches the mobile communications network associated with the mobile device based on the validity determination. The exceptions list identifies phone numbers that have been ported to a mobile communications network that is different that the determined network.

System and method for determining whether an incoming call originates from inside or outside of a mobile carriers network. An example system performs a GTT (global title translation) on an incoming number to determine the hosting carrier of any mobile phone number. After the result of the matching determination is made, a message is generated and sent to a caller associated with the call page. The generated message includes any of directory information associated with the subscriber, information associated with cost savings or comparisons associated with in-network calling, information regarding promotions for calling plans, mobile devices or device upgrades, requests to join a network, requests to join a social call plan, information regarding instant savings or call rebates, offers for online services or software, offers for reduced cost or free phone service in exchange for adoption of a predefined product or entering into a social network group.
Abstract:
System and method for providing caller name display in a wireless communications system. The method includes receiving an originating telephone number at a mobile device, storing the originating number in the mobile device, transmitting a name lookup request for the originating number from the mobile device to a server, receiving a response including a name corresponding to the. Originating number from the server, storing the name and displaying the name when a call having the same originating number is received. The system includes a mobile device having a display, a memory and a processor. The system also includes a software module configured to store an originating telephone number in the memory, send a name lookup request to a server, receive arid store a response including a name corresponding to the originating number and display the name when a call having the same originating number is received.
