    摘要: The invention includes methods of forming a retreaded tire, and treads there for. Particular embodiments of such methods provide a tire carcass configured to receive the tire tread along an annular tread-receiving area and a pre-cured tire tread including a tread body and a detachable connector. The connector is arranged within a thickness of the tread between a top void portion and a bottom void portion and extending across a width of the top void portion and of the bottom void portion. The detachable connector is configured to separate from the tread upon application of a separation force. Further steps include assembling a retreaded tire by arranging the tire tread atop a bonding layer arranged between the tire tread and the tire carcass, bonding the tire tread to the tire carcass, and removing the detachable connector from the top void portion after the step of bonding.

In particular embodiments, the method includes providing a tread having a top side configured to engage a ground surface during tire operation and a bottom side configured for attachment to an annular tire carcass, the tread including a void extending into a thickness of the tread from the top side of the tread. The method also includes arranging the tread around an outer circumference of the tire carcass in a desired position to form an assembled retreaded tire. Furthermore, the methods includes arranging a coil spring within the void of the tread. Subsequently, a curing membrane is placed around an outer circumference of the tread, an outer circumference of the circumferential band, and at least a portion of the tire carcass, and the assembled retreaded tire is cured with the coil spring arranged within the void.

Subsequently, the inflatable bladder is inflated, the vacuum chamber is placed under at least partial vacuum pressure, and the unbonded retreaded tire is bonded to form a bonded retreaded tire by pressurizing and heating the curing chamber.

The method also includes bonding the tread of the unbonded tire to the tire carcass to form a bonded retreaded tire by sufficiently pressurizing and heating the curing chamber to cure the bonding layer of the unbonded tire, which includes at least partially bonding a pair of laterally-spaced tread edge areas of the pre-cured tread to the tire carcass prior to an intermediate portion of the pre-cured tread located between the pair of laterally-spaced tread edge areas.
