Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a microporous polyethylene film for a battery separator and a method of producing the same. The microporous polyethylene film is made from a resin composition. The resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a polyethylene composition including 10 - 50 wt% polyethylene having a weight average molecular weight of from 2 x 10 to less than 5 x 10 (component I) and 90 - 50 wt% diluent (component II), and 0 - 150 parts by weight of inorganic powder (component III). The film has a puncture strength of 0.20 N/mm or more and a gas permeability (Darcy's permeability constant) of 1 x 10 Darcy or more. The microporous polyethylene film has excellent physical properties, thus improving the performance and stability of a battery.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus for manufacturing an optical film and more particularly, an apparatus for manufacturing a cellulose acylate film using a teflon coated roller which includes the teflon coated roller having a fluorine resin coating layer formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof and a steam jet cylinder for steam jetting thereby efficiently eliminating curls generated upon the manufacture of a cellulose acylate film.
Abstract:
Provided are an optical film for use in flat panel display (FPD) devices, and a method for manufacturing the same. Particularly, there is provided a method for imparting surface roughness to an optical film, which includes forming dented craters having a radius of curvature of 10 nm-100 μm on the surface of an optical film obtained by a solution casting process and forming a plateau between one crater and another crater. There is also provided an optical film obtained by the same method.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a microporous high density polyethylene film for a battery separator and a method of producing the same. The microporous high density polyethylene film includes high density polyethylene with a weight average molecular weight of 2x10 to less than 5x10 , containing 5 wt % or less molecule with a molecular weight of 1x 10 or less. The microporous high density polyethylene film has tensile strengths of 1, 100 kg/cm or more in transverse and machine directions respectively, a puncture strength of 0.22 N/D or more, a gas permeability (Darcy's permeability constant) of 1.3x 10 Darcy or more, and shrinkages of 5 % or less in machine and transverse directions, respectively. Particularly, the microporous high density polyethylene film has an excellent extrusion-compoundabiliy and stretchability and a high productivity, and can improve the performances and stability of a battery produced using the same.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a casting belt used for manufacturing an optical film by means of a solvent casting process, in more detail, a casting belt for producing a transcendental wide width film which is used to produce a film in a gel state by casting a dope when manufacturing a film that is used for a polarizer of liquid crystal displays or optical compensation films.

Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a microporous polyethylene film and a method of manufacture thereof. The polyethylene microporous film manufactured according to the present invention may contribute to an increased productivity of stable products as its extrusion and stretching may be done readily. And thus manufactured product may be used for battery separators and various filters owing to its high gas permeability, superior puncture strength, and small ratio of shrinkage.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a microporous polyethylene film for a battery separator and a method of producing the same. The microporous polyethylene film comprises a resin mixture, which includes 100 parts by weight of composition containing 20-50 wt% polyethylene with a weight average molecular weight of 5x10 -3x10 (component I) and 80-50 wt% diluent (component II), 0.1-2 parts by weight of peroxide (component III), and 0.05-0.5 parts by weight of anti-oxidant (component IV). The microporous polyethylene film has a puncture strength of 0.22 N/D or more and a gas permeability (Darcy's permeability constant) of 1.3x10 Darcy or more. The present invention increases production efficiency of the microporous film, and improves performances and stability of the battery when the microporous polyethylene film is used in a battery separator.
