摘要: A vanadia-based catalytic composition for reduction of nitrogen oxides includes a titania-based support material; vanadia deposited on the titania-based support material; a primary promoter comprising tungsten oxide, molybdenum oxide or combinations thereof; and an amount of phosphate to achieve a mole ratio of phosphorus to vanadium plus molybdenum of about 0.2:1 or greater. A zirconia, tin or manganese oxide can be added to further inhibit the volatility of molybdenum. Results show low SO 2 oxidation rates and excellent NO x conversion and/or molybdenum stability.

摘要: DeNOx catalysts for the reduction of NOx compounds and porous catalyst support materials are provided. The inventive catalysts comprise an active metal catalyst component and mixed TiO2/ZrO2 porous support particles that comprise a) a crystalline phase comprising titanium dioxide and/or a titanium/zirconium mixed oxide, b) an amorphous phase comprising zirconium, and c) a small amount of one or more metal oxide(s) or metalloid oxide(s) deposited on the amorphous outer layer. The inventive catalysts exhibit superior activity and ammonia selectivity.

The process comprises dividing the waste steam into a first and a second stream, then adding a neutralization agent (e.g., calcium hydroxide) to the first stream to form a partially neutralized slurry, and combining this partially neutralized first stream with the second stream to form a combined stream. The combined stream comprises ferrous chloride and metal hydroxide precipitates, which are separated.

摘要: The present invention relates to an improved titanium dioxide pigment that incorporate a dense silica coating and its process for manufacture. The pigment is preferably produced from a titania base from the chloride process in which the manufacturing process comprises the following steps in the order stated: (a) partial or substantial removal of salt from the oxidizer discharge; (b) addition of a dispersant; (c) milling to produce a highly dispersed, highly deagglomerated slurry, followed by dense silica surface treatment. Pigments prepared using the inventive process exhibit optics equivalent to high gloss, high opacity pigments and maintain the durability of the more conventional dense silica treated pigments.

摘要: A composition includes polymer and dispersed infrared-reflective clusters of titanium dioxide primary particles. The titanium dioxide primary particles are cemented together with precipitated silica and/or alumina to form clusters. The titanium dioxide primary particles have an average particle diameter in the range of from about 0.15 to about 0.35 micron, while the clusters of titanium dioxide primary particles have an average cluster diameter in the range of from about 0.38 to about 5 microns and a geometric standard deviation (GSD) in the range of from about 1.55 to about 2.5.

摘要: A process for making a catalyst having precious metal nanoparticles deposited on a support includes first providing an aqueous dispersion of support particles. A pre-treatment slurry is prepared by mixing the aqueous dispersion of support particles with a water-soluble precious metal precursor and a reducing agent. The pre-treatment slurry is hydrothermally treated at a temperature in the range of from about 40°C to about 220°C for a time sufficient to deposit precious metal nanoparticles on the surface of the support particles, the precious metal nanoparticles having an average particle size less about 50 nm.

摘要: Low temperature activity of a vanadium-free selective catalytic reduction catalyst is provided by a mixed metal oxide support containing oxides of titanium and zirconium, the support having a promoter deposited on the surface of the mixed metal oxide support, and further having an active catalyst component deposited over the promoter on the mixed metal oxide support surface. Suitable promoters include oxides of silicon, boron, aluminum, cerium, iron, chromium, cobalt, nickel, copper, tin, silver, niobium, lanthanum, titanium, and combinations thereof. Suitable active catalyst components include oxides of manganese, iron and cerium.
