Infant nutritional kit which comprises a wakefulness stimulating formula and a sleep stimulating formula. The differentiated composition of tryptophan, nucleotides and other elements of the two infant formulas of the kit provides an improvement on regulation and consolidation of the child's circadian cycle of the sleep-wake phases. One formula stimulates wakefulness and the other stimulates sleep. At the same time, the alternated intake of one (wakefulness) and the other (sleep) formulation improves the specific action of each one. Thus, the compositions of the two formulas are complementary and achieve an equilibrium, both nutritional and of the child's circadian cycles.

A strain of Bifidobacterium longum biovar infantis deposited in the Colección Española de Cultivos Tipo (CECT) under the accession number CECT 7210, or a mutant or variant thereof having an activity of inhibiting rotavirus and having the ability to produce a peptide from the fermentation of a substrate, said peptide having a length from 11 to 17 amino acids and an amino acid sequence which comprises SEQ ID NO: 1 or a derivative of said peptide. The invention relates to the use of these bacteria as probiotics.
