Abstract:
A molded article of a crystalline thermoplastic resin with high gas barrier properties, produced while optimizing the crystal orientation of the resin to give a product with a specified monoaxial monoplanar orientation, thus remarkably improving the gas barrier properties. The gas barrier properties can be drastically improved by optimizing the crystallinity and crystal orientation of the molded article by specifying the conditions of molding and heat treatment for crystallization and utilizing a synergistic effect of the crystallinity and the crystal orientation. The molded article is used as the packaging or protective material of meat, processed animal and fish meat including ham and sausage, processed marine products including 'kamaboko', retortable pouch, foods which must be shielded from moisture or oxygen, such as fish powder seasoning, powdery soup and rice cracker, curry powder, spice, vegetable, fruit, medicine and so forth.
Abstract:
In a gas separator, metal for separating gas is filled in the inside of small holes open in the surface of a porous base body so as to close them, wherebey there is no risk of a material gas leaking into a refined gas. A method for producing the gas separator comprises an activating process for immersing a porous base body having a pair of surfaces in a solution containing an activating metal while providing a certain difference in pressure between the pair of surfaces and a chemically plating process for causing a metal for separating gas to fill the inside of small holes open in the surfaces of the porous base body by chemically plating so as to close the same holes.
Abstract:
This disclosure relates to an etching composition containing at least one sulfonic acid, at least one compound containing a halide anion, the halide being chloride or bromide, at least one compound containing a nitrate or nitrosyl ion, and water. The at least one sulfonic acid can be from about 25% by weight to about 95% by weight of the composition. The halide anion can be chloride or bromide, and can be from about 0.01% by weight to about 0.5% by weight of the composition. The nitrate or nitrosyl ion can be from about 0.1% by weight to about 20% by weight of the composition. The water can be at least about 3% by weight of the composition.
Abstract:
A multilayered packaging material having piercing resistance and tearability and being excellent in appearance, transparency and so forth can be produced by orienting a multilayered structure composed of a polyamide resin layer and other thermoplastic resin layer(s) monoaxially 1.5- to 7.0-fold in such a manner that the thickness of the polyamide resin layer is 3 to 30 νm and the thickness(es) of the other thermoplastic resin layer(s) is (are) at least twice as much as that of the polyamide resin layer.
