Abstract:
The disclosure describes systems of navigating a hazardous environment. The system includes personal protective equipment (PPE) and computing device(s) configured to process sensor data from the PPE, generate pose data of an agent based on the processed sensor data, and track the pose data as the agent moves through the hazardous environment. The PPE may include an inertial measurement device to generate inertial data and a radar device to generate radar data for detecting a presence or arrangement of objects in a visually obscured environment. The PPE may include a thermal image capture device to generate thermal image data for detecting and classifying thermal features of the hazardous environment. The PPE may include one or more sensors to detect a fiducial marker in a visually obscured environment for identifying features in the visually obscured environment. In these ways, the systems may more safely navigate the agent through the hazardous environment.
Abstract:
Methods for estimating and predicting tooth wear based upon a single 3D digital model of teeth. The 3D digital model is segmented to identify individual teeth within the model. A digital model of a tooth is selected from the segmented model, and its original shape is predicted. The digital model is compared with the predicted original shape to estimate wear areas. A mapping function based upon values relating to tooth wear can also be applied to the selected digital model to predict wear of the tooth.
Abstract:
A method for monitoring impairment indicators, the method includes measuring, with a movement sensor attached to the person, a first signal related to movement of a person during a first time window and electronically storing the at least one numerical descriptor derived from the first signal as reference data for the person. The method further includes measuring, with the movement sensor attached to the person, a second signal related to movement of the person during a second time window and comparing at least one numerical descriptor derived from the second signal to the reference data as a factor to identify an impairment indicator. The present disclosure also includes a device for monitoring impairment indicators.
Abstract:
At least some aspects of the present disclosure feature systems and methods for obfuscating data. The method includes the steps of: receiving an input data stream comprising a sequence of n-grams; mapping at least some of the sequence of n-grams to corresponding dictionary terms using an dictionary; disposing the corresponding tokens to an output data stream.
Abstract:
A computer-implemented method of evaluating a plurality of protocols associated with a medical context includes receiving, with a computer system, an indication of a medical context item corresponding to a medical context, accessing, with the computer system, a digital library including a plurality of protocols associated with the medical context, assigning, with the computer system, predictive outcomes to one or more of plurality of protocols, selecting, with the computer system, one of the plurality of protocols associated with the medical context based upon the assigned predictive outcomes, and storing, with the computer system within a database, an indication the selected protocol is assigned to the medical context item.
Abstract:
This disclosure describes systems, devices, and techniques for identifying sections of medical documents that are suitable for automated medical coding. In one example, a computer-implemented method includes receiving, by one or more processors, the medical document, wherein the medical document comprises a plurality of sections. The method also may include determining, by the one or more processors and via application of a classification model to each section of the plurality of sections, codability indicia for each section of the plurality of sections, wherein the codability indicia represents whether the respective section is suitable for automated medical coding. The method may include outputting, by the one or more processors, the respective codability indicia for each section of the plurality of sections.
Abstract:
At least some aspects of the present disclosure feature systems and methods for note recognition. The note recognition system includes a sensor, a note recognition module, and a note extraction module. The sensor is configured to capture a visual representation of a scene having one or more notes. The note recognition module is coupled to the sensor. The note recognition module is configured to receive the captured visual representation and determine a general boundary of a note from the captured visual representation. The note extraction module is configured to extract content of the note from the captured visual representation based on the determined general boundary of the note.
Abstract:
At least some aspects of the present disclosure feature systems and methods for managing notes. The note management system includes a note source, a note recognition module, a note extraction module, and a note labeling module. The note source is a visual representation of a scene having a note. The note recognition module is configured to receive the visual representation and determine a general boundary of the note from the visual representation. The note extraction module is configured to extract content of the note from the visual representation based on the determined general boundary. The note labeling module is configured to label the note with a category.
