    摘要: Optical circuit board assemblies having one or more lens bodies are disclosed. In one embodiment, the assembly comprises a composite circuit board comprising a glass-substrate and a non-glass substrate with the non-glass substrate having at least one cutout that exposes a portion of the glass substrate and at least one optical trace comprising one or more optical interfaces on the composite circuit board. The one or more optical interfaces of the composite circuit board are in optical communication with the one or more lens bodies. Other optical circuit board assemblies may include other features such as a bezel mount attached to the composite circuit board or an attachment structure secured to the composite circuit board.

In one embodiment, the optical plug connector includes an optical portion having an optical interface and a cover for protecting the optical interface. The cover can translate toward the optical interface when connecting the optical plug connector and a portion of the cover allows transmission of optical signals therethrough. The cover has a sliding fit relative to a portion of the housing and may translate on at least one guide surface of the housing.

    摘要: Disclosed are transceivers using a pluggable optical body. In one embodiment the transceiver comprises a transceiver receptacle body and a substrate assembly. The transceiver receptacle body comprises a front side, a rear side and at least one optical channel at the optical interface with the front side having at least one alignment pin and the rear side having at least one cavity. The substrate assembly comprises a substrate supporting at least one active electronic component and the substrate comprising at least one alignment feature for cooperating with the at least one alignment pin of the transceiver receptacle body. In one variation, one or more alignment pins may extend from the front side into the cavity of the transceiver receptacle body.

In one embodiment, the optical connector comprises an optical body, one or more first magnetic materials attached to the optical body, a housing, and one or more second magnetic materials attached to the housing. The first magnetic material(s) provide alignment with an optical element of a complimentary receptacle and the optical body may include one or more openings for receiving the first magnetic materials. The second magnetic materials) attached to the housing provide retention of the optical connector with the complimentary receptacle when mated together. Consequently, the optical connector allows for quick and easy assembly along with a robust structure for a large number of mating/unmating cycles. In other embodiments, the optical devices disclosed may further include one or more electrical contacts for making a hybrid connection or have a TIR surface integrated into a portion of a housing.

In one embodiment, the optical filter device comprises an optical filter assembly for reflecting one or more preselected wavelengths and a housing. In one embodiment, the housing comprises a plug end and a receptacle end for optical connection into a link or connection node of an optical network. The housing comprises a passageway between the plug end and the receptacle end, and the plug end comprises a shroud with a single fiber connector footprint. At least a portion of the optical filter assembly is disposed within the passageway of the housing. The optical filter devices disclosed allow the network operator the flexibility to choose where to position a reflective location in the optical network along with the ability to move, add or change the reflective location as desired.
