摘要: Processes are described for isomerizing one or more C4-C24 alpha olefins to produce an isomerization mixture comprising one or more C4-C24 internal olefins comprising contacting an olefinic feed comprising the one or more C4-C24 alpha olefins with a catalyst under isomerization conditions, wherein the catalyst comprises a microporous crystalline alummosilicate selected from the group consisting of ZSM-5, ZSM-23, ZSM-35, ZSM-11, ZSM-12, ZSM-48, ZSM-57, and mixtures or combinations thereof, and wherein the microporous crystalline aluminosilicate has a S1O2/AI2O3 molar ratio of less than or equal to about 100. The resulting isomerization mixture typically exhibits a lower pour point and maintained biodegradability properties as compared to the olefinic feed, and is particularly useful in drilling fluid and paper sizing compositions.

摘要: Methods for removing impurities from a hydrocarbon stream using a guard bed material are disclosed. The guard bed material includes compositions which comprises a zeolite and a mesoporous support or binder. The zeolite has a Constraint Index of less than 3. The mesoporous support or binder comprises a mesoporous metal oxide having a particle diameter of greater than or equal to 20 μm at 50% of the cumulative pore size distribution (d 50 ), a pore volume of less than 1cc/g, and an alumina content of greater than 75%, by weight. Also disclosed are processes for producing mono-alkylated aromatic compounds (e.g., ethylbenzene or cumene) using impure feed streams that are treated by the disclosed methods to remove impurities which act as catalyst poisons to downstream alkylation and/or transalkylation catalysts.

摘要: Catalyst composition which comprises a first zeolite having a BEA* framework type and a second zeolite having a MOR framework type and a mesopore surface area of greater than 30 m 2 /g is disclosed. These catalyst compositions are used to remove catalyst poisons from untreated feed streams having one or more impurities which cause deactivation of the downstream catalysts employed in hydrocarbon conversion processes, such as those that produce mono-alkylated aromatic compounds.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a process for producing a mono-alkylated aromatic compound, such as, for example, ethylbenzene or cumene, in which an alkylatable aromatic compound stream, such as, for example, benzene, and an alkylation agent stream, such as, for example, poly-ethylbenzene or poly-isopropylbenzene, are contacted in the presence of a trans alkylation catalyst and under at least partial liquid phase transalkylation conditions. The trans alkylation catalyst comprises a zeolite having a framework structure selected from the group consisting of FAU, BEA*, MOR, MWW and mixtures thereof. The zeolite has a silica- alumina molar ratio in a range of 10 to 15. The transalkylation catalyst composition has an external surface area/volume ratio in the range of 30 cm 1 to 85 cm 1.

摘要: The present disclosure relates to a process for producing a mono-alkylated aromatic compound using a treated catalyst made by a method of this invention is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of heating an untreated catalyst in the presence of a gaseous stream having a dew point temperature less than about 5°C to form a treated catalyst. The treatment is effective to improve the activity and selectivity of the catalyst.

摘要: In a process for producing paraxylene, a hydrocarbon feedstock comprising benzene and/or toluene is contacted with an alkylating reagent comprising methanol and/or dimethyl ether in an alkylation reaction zone under alkylation conditions in the presence of an alkylation catalyst to produce an alkylated product comprising xylenes. The alkylation catalyst comprises a molecular sieve having a Constraint Index ≤ 5, and the alkylation conditions comprise a temperature less than 500°C. At least part of the alkylated product is supplied to a paraxylene recovery unit to recover paraxylene and produce a paraxylene- depleted stream, which is then contacted with a xylene isomerization catalyst under conditions effective to isomerize xylenes in the paraxylene-depleted stream and produce an isomerized stream having a higher concentration of paraxylene than the paraxylene-depleted stream. At least part of the isomerized stream is then recycled to the paraxylene recovery unit to recover the paraxylene therein.

摘要: Terminal olefins (alpha olefins) may be isomerized to internal olefins using a catalyst composition comprising sodium oxide on a solid support. Isomerization of alpha olefins takes place under a variety of mild heterogeneous reaction conditions. Linear alpha olefins (LAOs) may be isomerized without substantial cracking or branching to form the corresponding linear internal olefins (LIOs). The LIOs may be incorporated in drilling fluids, particularly those intended for use in a subsea environment, due to their favorable environmental profile and low pour point values. Compositions comprising C 14 -C 20 LIOs produced from the corresponding C 14 -C 20 LAOs may exhibit anaerobic biodegradability and pour point values of about -6°C or lower.
