Abstract: Bicycle tyre (100) which comprises a pair of bead cores (8), a carcass structure (2) turned around the pair of bead cores (8) and a tread band (4) radially outer to the carcass structure (2); at each bead core (8) being provided: an elastomeric material filler (12) which extends in a radial direction for a first length (HI) starting from the bead core (8), a loop (15) interposed between the carcass structure (2) and the elastomeric material filler (12), turned around the bead core (8) so as to define a first flap (15a) axially outer to the elastomeric material filler (12) and a second flap (15b) axially inner to the elastomeric material filler (12), wherein the first flap (15a) extends in a radial direction for a second length (H2) and the second flap (15b) extends in a radial direction for a third length (H3); preferably, the second (H2) and third (H3) lengths are less than or equal to the first length (H1).

Abstract: A tire having (i) an asymmetric tread profile with a shoulder drop difference of from 0.3 to 0.9; and (ii) an asymmetric tread pattern so as to have a ratio between the inner void/solid ratio and the outer void/solid ratio of from 1.1 to 1.50. By the above combination of features, handling and aquaplaning performance is remarkably improved even at high operating speeds without negatively affecting the wear resistance of the tread band.

Abstract: A tyre (1) comprises: a tread band (2) on which is defined a radially outer tread surface (3), a first plurality of blocks (6a, 6b) provided on the tread band, - at least a first sipe (10) of the restrained type extending on at least one block of the first plurality in a substantially axial direction (X) defined on the tread band. The first sipe is configured so as to define, between a first (8) and a second block portion (9) divided by the first sipe, at least two separate and distinct couplings (11) of the male/female type such as to prevent the mutual displacement of the block portions in any direction (A) which, at said block, is substantially tangential to the tread surface, and such as to permit mutual displacement of the block portions in a direction incident to the tread surface. In addition, the first sipe does not intersect any other sipe of the restrained type within the block.
