Abstract: Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication over a sidelink between a first user equipment (UE) and a second UE. The first UE may identify a configuration for discontinuous reception (DRX) for direct link communications with a second UE. The first UE may determine a channel busy ratio (CBR) based on a plurality of CBR measurement occasions within a time window prior to a direct link transmission based on the configuration for DRX. The first UE may determine whether to perform a congestion control on the direct link transmission based on the CBR. The first UE may perform a direct link transmission subject to a channel occupancy ratio limit.

Abstract: A wireless device determines a discontinuous reception (DRX) pattern for sidelink communication and performs sidelink activity within a DRX ON duration of the DRX pattern. A wireless device may transmit a sidelink discovery message including information about a DRX pattern of the first wireless device and may monitor for sidelink communication based on the DRX pattern. A second wireless device may receive a sidelink discovery message from the first wireless device including information about a DRX pattern of the first wireless device and may exchange sidelink communication with the first wireless device based on the DRX pattern.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may sense and report resource availability using a reporting pattern to manage a payload size of a reporting message. A sensing pattern may indicate a pattern of resources of a sidelink channel that is being reported in the reporting message (e.g., and one or more sidelink channel resources not being reported), and a resolution of resource availability statuses reported for a first subset of resources of a sidelink channel. A base station or another UE may indicate which reporting pattern (e.g., from a set of configured patterns) that a UE is to use for sensing and generating the sensing report. The UE may autonomously select the reporting pattern, and may transmit an indication of the pattern to the receiving UE.

A user equipment (UE) may support communicating sidelink feedback for a transport block communicated over multiple transmission time intervals (TTIs). For example, a first UE may receive one or more repetitions of a transport block from a second UE over a sidelink channel, where the one or more repetitions of the transport block may together span multiple TTIs. Each of the first UE and the second UE may identify at least one of the TTIs and may determine one or more resources of a sidelink feedback channel based on an index of the at least one TTI. The first UE may transmit, to the second UE, feedback pertaining to the reception of the one or more repetitions of the transport block over the determined one or more resources.
