Abstract: The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method and apparatus of a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system are provided. A method of operating a UE includes receiving a set of configurations; determining, based on the set of configurations, a number (i) of sidelink synchronization signals and physical sidelink broadcast channel (S-SS/PSBCH) blocks to transmit in a period; and determining, based on the set of configurations, a transmission window for transmitting the S-SS/PSBCH blocks in the period. The method further includes determining a set of candidate slots for transmitting the S-SS/PSBCH blocks in the transmission window; performing channel access procedures before the set of candidate slots for transmitting the S-SS/PSBCH blocks in the transmission window; and transmitting, to another UE, the S-SS/PSBCH blocks over a sidelink channel with shared channel access, upon successfully performing the channel access procedures.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a wireless node (e.g., gNB or UE) transmits, to a UE, a grant of a set of resources for a first communication between the UE and the wireless node. The wireless node further transmits, to the UE, a conditional grant associated with a set of conditional parameters for a second communication that overrides the grant for some or all of a subset of the set of resources. The UE and/or the wireless node detects a triggering event or an indication of the triggering event for triggering the conditional grant with at least one conditional parameter of the set of conditional parameters. The UE and the wireless node perform the second communication in accordance with the at least one conditional parameter on some or all of the subset of resources based on the detection.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may perform partial sensing during a sidelink (SL) discontinuous reception (DRX) inactive time of the UE over a partial sensing occasion to obtain a sensing result. The partial sensing may include periodic based partial sensing (PBPS) or contiguous partial sensing (CPS), and the partial sensing occasion may include a most recent sensing occasion for PBPS or a minimum number of slots for CPS. The UE may determine, based on at least the sensing result, available resources for SL transmissions, and transmit a SL transmission over a resource of the available resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device may implement one or more listen before talk (LBT) techniques. The wireless device may identify a set of transmission parameters of a signal for transmission from the wireless device. The wireless device may generate a first transmission waveform of the signal on a set of radio resources based on the set of transmission parameters. The wireless device may perform a LBT based at least in part on the generation of the first transmission waveform. In some cases, performing the LBT includes adjusting a detected signal associated with the set of radio resources based at least in part on the first transmission waveform. Abstract: A method for accessing a cellular communications network in unlicensed spectrum is provided. More specifically, the method is related to performing a Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) procedure prior to transmitting a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) preamble for accessing a New Radio- Unlicensed (NR-U) network. A User Equipment (UE) first performs the LBT procedure. If the LBT procedure is successful, the UE then generates a punctured PRACH preamble and transmits the punctured PRACH preamble. By puncturing the PRACH preamble, it is possible to create a gap(s) for performing the LBT procedure in a way that is backward compatible with existing NR-U specification and does not reduce a number of random access occasions in a slot or a mini-slot. As a result, it is possible to transmit PRACH preambles in consecutive random access occasions, thus helping to increase spectrum utilization and reduce latency in the cellular communications network.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for channel occupancy time (COT) sharing arrangements when two or more COTs are associated with different durations, and provides arrangements for base station scheduling of downlink transmissions and selection of a listen-before-talk (LBT) configuration when two or more COTs are associated with different user equipment (UE) transmission endpoints. Furthermore, this disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for UE-side communication in accordance with scheduling information determined based on such COT sharing arrangements. By providing COT sharing arrangements when two or more COTs are associated with different durations, unlicensed channel utilization may be improved and throughput may be increased relative to when only one UE's COT can be used by the base station. By providing arrangements for scheduling downlink transmissions and selecting an LBT configuration, unlicensed channel utilization may be improved and access to the unlicensed medium may be streamlined.
