User friendliness is increased for the user according to said system. The invention also relates to the possibility of limited manipulation of a first message, as well as corresponding telecommunication devices, network elements and software programs.

The present invention relates to a method, whereby communication information (I1) of a first communication unit (E1) is provided by means of a communication system (K), assigned to said unit. The communication information contains indications on communication possibilities, which permit a communication link with the first communication unit to be established. Advantageously, a plurality of communication devices (V11, V12), assigned to the first communication unit (E1), are represented in the indications on communication possibilities. Said communication information can be compiled into profiles (P1, P2) by the user (B1), which is assigned to the first communication unit, in order to make available only certain information about communication possibilities.

The invention relates to a method for sending an MMS-message, in particular for sending an e-mail, a fax and/or an SMS, from a first subscriber device (O-UA) in an MMS-enabled system (O-KS) to a second subscriber device (O-UA, R-UA, R-ES, fax, telephone). According to the invention, the MMS-message is converted before being forwarded to the second subscriber device (R-ES, fax, telephone), if the second subscriber device is not connected to an MMS-enabled system (O-KS, R-KS1), or cannot receive MMS-messages. The invention also relates to an interface device (O-RS) for converting and forwarding the MMS-message and to a subscriber device (O-UA) for specifying the message format.
