Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to modular and reconfigurable architectural assemblies such as modular walls and modular furniture, including modular and reconfigurable desk systems, with features and components that provide wire management functionality. A modular desk system includes a horizontal work surface and a lower vertical section extending vertically downward and/or upward from the work surface. At least a portion of the lower vertical section houses one or more resource trays having power and data receptacles for user wires to plug into. An access component such as a cover encloses the resource tray to provide a functional and aesthetically pleasing assembly while allowing management and organization of user wires and/or supply wires.

The power harness also includes a plurality of externally accessible USB ports each at least partially contained in the housing, the plurality of USB ports including first and second upstream USB ports and a plurality of downstream USB ports. The power harness also includes circuitry interconnecting associated ones of the upstream and downstream USB ports such that accessed ones of the plurality downstream USB ports communicate with: (1) an accessed one of the first and second upstream USB ports when only one of the first and second upstream USB ports is accessed; and (2) a predetermined one of the first and second upstream USB ports when both of the first and second upstream USB ports are accessed.
Abstract:
An electrical receptacle adapted to be recessed into a work surface, having a concealed compartment containing electrical ports for connection to a remote power supply and communications devices and an exposed compartment for connecting electrical cables to the ports. The ports are mounted on a partition plate isolating the exposed compartment from the concealed compartment, which is disposed at an oblique angle relative to the work surface to facilitate the connection and detachment of electrical cables and reduce clutter in the work space.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a sliding device for a desk cable arrangement cover, and more particularly, to technology to easily procure the space required for desk cable arrangement by sliding the cover plate to open and close the device and improve convenience due to simple operation. A sliding device for a desk cable arrangement cover according to the present invention is composed of: a desk 10 on one of the corners of which an arrangement hole 12 and a cover plate 15 placed to the arrangement hole 12 are configured; a housing 20 that is attached to the lower surface 11 of the said desk 10 and fitted with wing parts 22 to procure housing space 21 within it; a cover rail 30 that extends a vertical plate 32 downward from its upper assembling surface 31 to be integrated to the lower surface of the said cover plate 15, wherein a long slide hole 33 is formed in the vertical plate; a guide pin 40 that moves along the slide hole 33 in the said cover rail 30; supporting plates 41 that are placed on the two sides of the vertical plate 32 of the said cover rail 30 and are to be fastened with the said guide pin 40; a rotating unit 50 that includes a inserting slot 51 to be placed inside the housing space 21 of the said housing 20, where an end of the rotating unit is to be assembled by and rotate on a fixing pin 52 while the other end are to be fastened and fixed, on the outer surfaces of the said supporting plates 41, by the guide pin 40; and a torsion spring 60, to be inserted into and fixed by the inserting slot 51 of the said rotating unit 50, where an end of the torsion spring is to be supported on the inner wall of the housing space 21 while the other end of it is to be supported by the rotating unit 50, which ensures the rotating unit 50 to possess elasticity exerted toward the upper plate 11, wherein a rotation restriction unit is configured including stopping shoulders 23 formed at the ends of the wing parts 22 of the said housing 20 and stopping projections 34 formed on the upper assembling surface 31 of the said cover rail 30 in order to prohibit the rotational movement of the cover rail 30, when the end of the cover rail 30 is displaced toward then maintained inside the housing 20, by restraining the stopping projections 34 by means of the stopping shoulders 23; and rotating wings 53, containing rotating space extending from one end to the inserting slot 51, are further prepared in the rotating unit 50, which ensures the cover rail 30, assembled with the cover plate 15 at one end of the inserting slot, to rotate inside the rotating space.
Abstract:
A pop-up enclosure system (30) for electronic equipment, includes a receptacle (31) adapted for mounting in a work-surface (15) and containing one or more electrical outlets (32) for connection of equipment thereto, and a bezel (33) supported by the receptacle and adapted for countersinking in said work-surface. A top plate (34) is dimensioned for closing an opening defined by the bezel, and a hinge (35) is mounted at an edge of the top plate and the bezel for hingedly attaching the top plate to the bezel so as to allow rotation of the top plate from a closed position to a fully open position wherein the edge of the top plate abuts an upper surface of the bezel. A releasable resilient opening force (37) is fixed to the receptacle and articulated to the top plate for opening the top plate.
Abstract:
A space-dividing furniture system includes a powered frame having extruded frame rails which define outward opening channels in which cabling and other brackets are received. An additional desking unit is usable separately from or in direct connection to the frame. The desking system comprises a work top assembly with an extruded perimeter frame which includes mounting slots along the lengths thereof for the connection of legs thereto. The legs are mountable directly to the mounting slots of a single table or may span to adjacent tables to define a common support structure therefore.
