본 발명은 클립 이탈 및 변형 방지 구조의 클립 조 및 이를 가진 애플라이어에 관한 것이고, 구체적으로 클립 고정을 위한 구조가 형성되어 클립의 이탈이 방지되면서 이와 동시에 클립의 변형이 방지되도록 하는 클립 이탈 및 변형 방지 구조의 클립 조 및 이를 가진 클립 애플라이어에 관한 것이다. 클립 이탈 및 변형 방지 구조의 조 유닛 및 이를 가진 애플라이어는 클립(50)의 한쪽 끝이 고정되는 1 서브 조(10); 클립(50)의 다른 끝이 고정되는 2 서브 조(20); 및 클립(50)에 이동 압력을 가하는 메인 부재(40)를 포함하고, 상기 1 서브 조(10)의 끝 부분에 고정 훅 유닛(13)이 형성된다.

Surgical instruments and assemblies for sealing and cutting tissue monitor jaw angle and/or jaw clamping force to provide feedback to an operator of the surgical instrument indicative of whether the tissue is suitable clamped for sealing and/or cutting. A surgical instrument or assembly includes a jaw operable to clamp tissue, a sealing mechanism, a cutting mechanism, an actuation monitoring assembly, and a feedback assembly. The actuation monitoring assembly monitors jaw angle and/or clamping force. The feedback assembly outputs feedback to the operator, based on the jaw angle and/or clamping force, as to whether the current clamping angle and/or jaw angle is suitable for sealing and/or clamping tissue.

Various embodiments of a device for mitral valve repair are described. In one example, the device can be used to place a pair of magnets between the flaps of the mitral valve. The magnets hold the flaps together near its center, with a result similar to that achieved through the Alfieri stitch. To place the magnets, the device is inserted through the apex of the heart in a transapical procedure and extended up into the left ventricle toward the mitral valve. When in position with the mitral valve, a pair of grasper fingers of the device are used to place the pair of magnets over the flaps, and the magnets are released. Once released, magnetic attraction between the magnets holds the flaps together. In other embodiments, the device can be used to place staples or sutures or other bonding elements over the flaps of the mitral valve.
