Abstract: A medical device and methods for hemostasis in a living body are disclosed. The medical device including a base configured to arranged on an upper surface of the tissue in the living body; a plurality of levers, each of the plurality of levers having a needle arranged on a lower surface thereof and configured to puncture the tissue in the living body, and wherein the plurality of lever are configured to be received with a slot or track of the base; and at least one tie, the at least one tie configured to hold together the plurality levers and needles upon compressing the tissue in the living body upon moving the plurality of levers inward in the slot or track of the base.

Abstract: According to some embodiments there is provided an anastomosis device configured to reduce leakage, comprising: a first set of rings sized to be positioned at a first tissue wall; a second set of rings sized to be positioned at a second tissue wall adjacent the first tissue wall; and an element configured to draw the ring sets towards each other; wherein each set of rings comprises an inner ring, an outer ring, and a coupling for aligning the inner and outer rings with respect to each other; wherein the inner ring applies a first pressure onto the tissue wall which is sufficient to gradually form a passage between the first and second tissue walls; and the outer ring applies a second pressure onto the tissue wall, the second pressure applied radially outwardly relative to the first pressure, the second pressure sufficient to reduce leakage in a vicinity of the passage.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes tissue gripping devices, systems, and methods for gripping mitral valve tissue during treatment of a mitral valve and while a tissue fixation device is implanted in the mitral valve. The tissue gripping device includes a flexible member and one or more tissue gripping members coupled to one or more arms of the flexible member. The flexible member is formed from a shape-memory material, such as nitinol, and the tissue gripping member(s) are formed from a material that is more rigid than the shape-memory material. Abstract: A system for wound closure has at least two closure elements. One closure element is detachably tethered to another closure element. Each closure element includes: a base member with an integral strap hingably connected to the base member, and a lock member slidably disposed on the strap and being lockable on the strap.
