    摘要: A system and method for providing the intraocular pressure (IOP) in the anterior chamber of an eye during ocular surgery is provided. Determination of IOP may be performed using an algorithm that is a function of the static (inflow) pressure and/or dynamic (outflow) pressure. Static (inflow) pressure may be calculated as a function of one or more parameters, including bottle height, wound leakage, sleeve size, length of irrigation tubing and/or inner diameter of the irrigation tubing. Dynamic (outflow) pressure may be calculated as a function of one or more parameters, including aspiration rate, vacuum rate, tip size, compliance of tubing, length of tubing, and/or inner diameter of tubing. Additional parameters may also be considered in the algorithm such as patient eye level.

The sensor includes a sealed cavity, and a flexible membrane sealing a distal end of the sealed cavity, the flexible membrane configured to deflect responsive to the intraocular pressure in the eye of the patient. The system includes a detection device configured to be positioned external to the eye of the patient and optically coupled to the sensor, the detection device configured to detect an indication of change in length of the sealed cavity resulting from deflection of the flexible membrane.

More particularly, the system is configured to display optical coherence tomography (OCT) images to a medical professional. The medical professional can select anatomical features, biomarkers, and other features of interest within each of the OCT images. The system can then translate the location of the features of interest within the OCT images to an en face image to generate a map of the features that the medical professional can use for surgical guidance.

    摘要: A holder device for holding a plurality of tonometer tips or the like during a disinfection procedure has a top wall, spaced rims extending downward from the top wall to engage a support surface and hold the top wall above the support surface, and handle portions extending upwards from the top wall. The top wall has a plurality of spaced holes of predetermined diameter each configured to hold a tip extending partially through the hole with a lower end of the tip spaced above a support surface. A cover plate is releasably secured between the handle portions at a location spaced above the top wall after loading the holes with tips, and holds the tips in the holes while at least a major portion of the device is submerged in a bath of disinfectant.

    摘要: An intraocular implant includes a sensor that, when implanted the eye, detects a physiological change (e.g., change in pupil diameter) associated with an accommodative trigger and emits a signal representing the detected change. A processor coupled to the implant senses and interprets the signal based on one or more thresholds representing the patient's pupillary response to changes in object distance and/or ambient light level. If the processor determines that the signal represents an accommodative trigger, it actuates an electro-active optical element, such as a pixelated liquid-crystal cell, to change the eye's effective optical power and/or depth of field.
