摘要:
A process for removal of mercury in a gas dehydration system comprising (a) adding a complexing agent to a recirculated glycol solvent as part of the glycol solution feed prior to or at the dehydration liquid contactor and recirculating continuously with the glycol solvent, (b) selectively reacting the complexing agent with mercury in the wet natural gas to remove the mercury from the dry natural gas product, (c) and feeding the rich glycol with the complexing agent to a regenerator and continuously regenerating.

The present invention relates to a process and contactor vessel in which gas and liquid contact occurs to facilitate mass transfer therebetween. In one embodiment the process includes a fluidised bed including mobile inert primary objects and secondary particles that facilitate turbulent mixing and enhanced gas/liquid surface area in the contactor.

An adsorbent having a microwave absorption property is provided. The adsorbent having an improved microwave absorption property, which has a core-shell structure including a silicon carbide bead disposed therein, and an adsorbing material disposed outside the silicon carbide bead, can be provided. Also, the adsorbent may further include a plurality of silicon carbide particles dispersed and disposed therein and having a diameter of 1 ㎛ to 10 ㎛, and the adsorbing material may be ion-exchanged with a cation. Therefore, the adsorbent can be useful in improving desorption efficiency since the adsorbent may be rapidly heated by microwaves to reach the desorption temperature due to high reactivity to microwaves. Also, the adsorbent can be useful in maintaining full adsorption capacity without having an influence on adsorption quantity since the silicon carbide bead is disposed in the inner core of the adsorbent. Further, when the adsorbent is applied to conventional systems for removing organic compounds using microwaves or dehumidification systems, the adsorbent can be semi-permanently used, and may also have an effect of enhancing the energy efficiency by 30% or more, compared to adsorbents used in the conventional systems.

Methods of producing solid CO 2 sequestering carbonate materials are provided. Aspects of the methods include introducing a divalent cation source into a flowing aqueous liquid (e.g., a bicarbonate rich product containing liquid) under conditions sufficient such that a non-slurry solid phase CO 2 sequestering carbonate material is produced. Also provided are systems configured for carrying out the methods.

摘要:
Herein are disclosed compositions, methods of their manufacture, and method of their use for the reduction of particulate resistivity in flue gas and/or a dust cake and/or for the removal of acidic gases from flue gas. The composition can include an alkali metal/alkali earth particulate having a formula (Li1-α-βNaαKβ)w(Mg1-δCaδ)x(OH)y(CO3)z ⋅nH2O, for example, where a ratio of x to y is about 1/50 to about 1/5. The composition can include a core-shell composition for reducing acid gas by enhancing the ability of the core-sell materials to capture acid gases, and also in the same product yield core-shell products that prevent deleterious impacts of the shell materials that may exist if injected alone. The core-shell composition can include a particulate core and a carbonate shell or, for example, a hydrated- lime/sodium carbonate mixture shell. The compositions can be prepared, for example, through a solution process, a slurry process, and/or a spray drying process that includes a slurry of the core composition and shell composition and subsequently milling the spray dried spheres. The compositions disclosed herein are used to reduce the acid gases in a flue gas by the formation of a solid conjugate base, stabilize metals in the fly ash and ash ponds, and improve the retention of fly ash within ESPs.
