Abstract:
A system can include a dry powder mixing tank, a first powder input, a second powder input, a powder output, and a detection device. The first powder input and the second powder input can introduce powders containing different substances that become mixed in the dry powder mixing tank. The detection device can detect information about amounts of different substances in a blend of powder moved out of the tank by the powder output. In some aspects, portions of the blend that do not satisfy parameters for the blend can be diverted from a receptacle for the blend based on the detected information.
Abstract:
A system and method for formulating a chemical solution using both volumetric and weight based measurements of components of the chemical solution is disclosed. The components of the chemical solution include water and at least one other component, which may take any form, such as, without limitation, liquid, solid, powder or gaseous form. Formulation of the chemical solution is administered by combining water with the one or more other components at an output port (115), from which this combination is dispensed to a solution storage tank (117). In response to a user's request to formulate a specified amount of the chemical solution, the volume of water provided to the output port is monitored by a flow meter (112) and the weight of the other component(s) provided to the output port is monitored by one or more load cells (114, 116). Based on such monitoring, appropriate amounts of water and the other component(s) are combined together to formulate the specified amount of the chemical solution in the solution storage tank.

The device is characterized by a combination of all system parts and the use of an endless paddle screw as a post-reaction area with an integrated fine grain sieve function and a connected waste gas system.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an apparatus and a method for producing a mix of a first type of food products and at least one second type of food products so that the mix fulfils at least two target criteria including weight ratio criterion indicating the weight ratio between the first and the at least one second type of food products in the mix and lean/fat ratio criterion of the mix. At least three controllable in-feed channels are arranged at an in- feed end of at least one conveyor and supply separate streams of the first and the at least one second food products. At least one of the in- feed channels supplies the first type of food products and at least two of the in-feed channels supply the at least one second type of food products. The at least two of in- feed channels supplying the at least one second type of food products being distinguished via different lean/fat ratio estimate. At least one lean/fat ratio measuring means determines the lean/fat ratio of the food products, and a weight determining device determines the weight of the food products. A control unit utilizes the determined weight of food products and the measured lean/fat ratio of the food products as operation parameters in operating the in-feeding of the at least three controllable in-feed channels so that the mix fulfills the at least two target criteria.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for mixing pure feed materials utilizes a first and a second compressible volume, such as defined in first and second liner-based containers adapted for pressure dispensation, wherein such materials are supplied to a mixing apparatus (e.g., reversible-flow or circulatable flow apparatus) adapted to form and maintain a mixture or suspension. Multiple redundant groups of containers may be used to enable mixing of contents of one group while contents of another group are being dispensed, to provide uninterrupted delivery of feed material to a process. Sensors adapted to generate signals indicative of flow, weight/mass, particle size distribution, concentration, and other material properties may be provided.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a plant (1) for the production of edible oil, comprising one or more kneaders (G) for mixing a paste from which to extract the oil. In accordance with the invention, means (2, 3, 10) are included for operating a calculation of the flow rate of paste in entry/exit into/from said one or more kneaders. Said means (2, 3, 10) comprising an arrangement of weight measurement (2, 3) arranged so as to measure a variation of weight of said one or more kneaders (G) on the basis of the flow of paste in entry/exit into/from the kneader and an electronic processor (10) placed in communication with said arrangement of weight measurement (2, 3) and configured to operate a calculation of the flow rate (P) on the basis of said variation of weight measured in correspondence of the entry/exit of the paste.
Abstract:
