摘要: The cover of a plastic water storage tank is attached to a tank base having a liner by means of alternative-feature joints, including elastically engageable joint features and lock joint features. A plastic water tank base with a liner is formed by putting at least a portion of sleeve (96) of the liner around the core (82C) of an injection mold, positioning the core within the cavity (84C) of the mold, injecting a first plastic to form the substrate (91) of the base, withdrawing the core a small distance from the cavity, and injecting a second plastic to form the remainder portion (93) of the liner.

摘要: A method and system of injection molding a plastic item, such as a preform, is provided. The method and system relates to positioning a first core within a mold cavity such that a first space is defined between the inner surface of the mold cavity and the outer surface of the first core and injecting a flowable first plastic material into the first space to form a first preform layer. The method and system relate to positioning a second core within the mold cavity and within the first preform layer such that a second space is defined between the inner surface of the first preform layer and the outer surface of the second core and injecting a flowable second plastic material into the second space to form a second preform layer located inside the first preform layer.

摘要: An air freshener removably engages with a structure, such as the supporting post of a rear view mirror of a motor vehicle. The air freshener has a rigidifying core defining a central axis, and an outer portion or sleeve contacting the core that is formed from one or more fragrance loaded polymers. Together, the core and outer portion are shaped to surround a first axis perpendicular to the central axis. The ends of the air freshener are juxtaposed generally opposite one another in closed configuration, and the arm portions of the air freshener flex in directions substantially parallel to the first axis to separate the ends to open the air freshener. A breakable strap and/or connectors may be provided to join the ends together. Alternatively, one end of the air freshener may be inserted within a cavity formed in the opposite end of the air freshener.

摘要: In some embodiments, a tool includes, in an injection molding machine, a movable internal core configured to receive a molded plastic layer thereon, the molded plastic layer having a thickness. The tool also comprises an injection nozzle configured to inject plastic material over the movable internal core to form the molded plastic layer; an ejection plate connected to the movable internal core; and multiple, movable support plates each having a thickness. The multiple, movable support plates are located behind the ejection plate. A movable support plate of the multiple, movable support plates is configured to determine the thickness of the molded plastic layer.

摘要: A check valve filter assembly is configured to be used with an isolation cartridge of an anti-lock braking system. The check valve filter assembly includes a main body formed of a first material. The main body includes an internal check valve bore. The assembly also includes a separate and distinct bore insert formed of a second material that differs from the first material. The bore insert may be secured over a surface of the internal check valve bore. The bore insert is configured to sealingly engage a check ball.

摘要: A mould (10) is described for use in forming directly onto an elongate member (13), such as a riser or jumper for deployment underwater, a cladding (14) which can serve both to insulate the elongate member and to protect it from vortex induced vibration. Features such as helical strakes (16) are formed along the exterior of the cladding to disrupt flow over it and so guard against vortex induced vibration. The mould is formed from multiple sections (18) adapted to be assembled to one another upon the member (13) and thereby to define a mould cavity around it. The cavity is shaped to mould a cladding section having a sheath portion (15) which surrounds and embraces the elongate member, as well as the aforementioned strake or strakes. The mould has male and female ends. The male end is shaped to form a mating portion (38) of the cladding section and the female end is shaped to receive and be closed by the mating portion of an existing section of the cladding. The female end is closed by a blanking plate (50) to form the first section of the cladding. However, the mould is then re-mounted with its female end closed by the inserted male portion of the adjacent cladding section. A second cladding section can thereby be formed which is continuous with the first. By repeatedly re-mounting the mould in this way, a cladding section of arbitrary length can be formed.
